Lightbulb General BS Thread

I figured I'd start a general chat thread so we would have somewhere to blab on without filling up the other specific threads.

So chat amongst ourselves...

hey smithz since you're a electrical engineer, are u good with soldering leds and stuff? Cause i wanbt bto do a led conversion on my climate control. I have installed everything on my car by myself but i don't trust myself with the soldering iron. This is what im reffering to: http://www.ledautomotive.com/HowToGu...DHowToAuto.asp

I mostly do design work so I'm just ok with a soldering gun. But I doubt that it could be too difficult. The trick to desoldering stuff is using solder wick, which I think you can get at radioshack or possible home depot. I have no problem helping you solder some stuff if you want me to. Car electronics aren't usually "micro" electronics so at least you have decent sized components to deal with. Let me know what you want to do.

Opinions needed

I posted the thread below on the 7th Gen Show Mods forum, but can't get any responses. It is about colored radiator hoses.

Will you guys take a look at this thread and let me know what you think? Thanks.

Here's better advice... if YOU like it then do it.

My opinion is don't do it unless you plan on dressing the entire engine in the same color.

Might be cheaper to just have it reupholstered....
Otherwise call Harry at John Elway Honda in service, tell him I gave you his name, and ask him if he can help you figure out what it would cost to do.

Don't know why it would be illegal... thats where navigation screens normally are. I could see it being illegal to play PS2 while driving... but that I would agree with.

Just remember whenever you get pulled over, just be totally honest and real hard on yourself. Call yourself a dumbass and that you were just being stupid. Cops eat that **** up and will sometimes take it a little easier on you. I know it sounds strange, but it has worked *many* times in the past. Thankfully it wasn't speeding... should pleabargain down to 0-1 points I think.

damn at first when I started to read I thought you got into an accident. that does suck though. yeah i've been pulled over a fair amount of time and always showed respect and was honest(told them why he pulled me over). it doesn't hurt to start a little off topic discussion with them either.

7th Gen Coupe Front Grill

Since this is the BS thread, I though I would add another post.

By the way, sorry about the ticket. That sucks!

So, has anyone taken the front grill (with Honda emblem) off the 7th Gen coupe? It is a seriously pain in the a##. I didn't want to take off the whole front bumper, but my hands really do not fit in behind very well. So, it took me forever.
