Another TAG-DYNO

New dynos reveal a consistant average of 280whp and 230lbs torque. I plotted a STD and it showed 298whp with the stupid spike 300 could be a hop and skip away..as early as next week perhaps..

... to be continued after SEMA...

Until then...I'll answer any questions in detail.. sooo ask away

Nice Tony.

Hey I changed my number and need to talk.

My new cell is 916-207-0413

Seems the cams gav you the extra "edge" you were looking for huh?

Also, Next time they dyno, have them do the pull in SECOND gear. The torque will be off but the HP will be WAYYYYYY more acurate. I did some testing of my own at our last dyno meet. Second gear works WAY better because it will hold the gear, meaning know kick-down and know TCC lock-up!

Do you have the same problem with the dyno as 02 Av6? At 6250 you're at 260whp. The 280 whp is at 6600rpms.

Yes, it's the same dyno....I was there for quite some time and the RPMs don't line up when you compare to the tac.. I made quite a few runs and the car doesn't hit any rev limiters so they stay on it until the dyno reads the set redline through the sensor. But the HP do not drop, they keep climbing

Another theory I have is that I shouldn't read anything past 6250...thats ok for me as I never drive in that area... I'm quite satisfied with a solid 265 for the time being

I think if I were to smooth out the line settings it would reveal an entire spike begining at 6250 Know what I mean? that "smoothness" rate that goes from 1 to 5 ? its currently set at 5...

Sooo things to try....
set redline settings higher on the dyno config for my car
change smoothness
get higher octane fuel and feel out where the rev limit really is...

Yes, detonation is a pain, I tuned where it would best in the band I drive daily...then I would just use higher octane fuel for the track days

I'm very impressed and wish you the best of luck!

Unfortunately my dreams of also having a 300whp Accord were washed away for me, but keep us updated with your project!

the hp line jumps like hell after about 6500 rpm. is that a mistake with the torque converter issue? or is that caused by fine tuning of the cl-s cams? because right now it looks like if you bumped your redline to about 7k, you'll climb into the 300 whp range!

also, i read from another thread the cl-s cams wouldn't help at all with forced induction because they the intake lobe lift and duration are greater than the exhaust lobe, which is the opposite of how FI cams are designed?

I've finally converted a few people on the 2nd gear dynoing for the V6 Accord.

Tag,

Way awesome man! Whenever I see these kinds of posts I regret selling my S/C but it just wasn't feasible for me where I live right now. :\

when I dynoed the dyno guys were like you should always use the gear closest to 1:1 gear ratio to dyno in for accurate results

they say 2nd shows lower numbers

on a mustang dyno a 2000 accord i4 5spd bone stock with removed intake resonator got only 93whp in 3rd gear because it didnt have enough power to hit redline quick enough in 4th!
