New Dyno: 239.05 whp, 211.56 torque

Ok, everyone, here is the dyno.
This was the best run. My car currently has Injen CAI with a different filter (Injen filter got black), Tanabe Hyper Medallion exhaust, Hyperground wires, Apexi V-AFCII.
The runs are, the lowest one (run 03) was the one with Injen Cai and ground wires, run 19 was with exhaust and Apexi VAFC untuned. the top run 28 was with the AFC tuned.
Now, first about the exhaust. Same sound as stock before 2500, then it's louder, but it's not loud AT ALL. Hell, Comptech was much louder on the TL. This is just a bit louder than stock so if you want a loud exhaust Tanabe is not for you.
Second, as you can see, exhaust gained only 5whp and no torque at all.
And third of all, since many will probably want to know the setting for VAFCII, here they are:
VTEC engagement point lo->Hi 4700 rpm
VTEC Hi->Lo 4600 rpm
all of these setting are for high cam only:
4900 - 2
5300 - 2
5700 - 2
6000 - 2
6400 - 2
6700 - 2
7000 - 3

And here is the dyno itself. Enjoy

What octane fuel were you using- from what I've read our cars put down about 200WHP with 87 and almost 220WHP with 93 (I think temple of vtec has a 217 dyno stock with 93).

I would hope this is with 87- 40WHP with the controller/I/E would be nice!

I haven't really read enough to know what ground wires do.

I assume from your name that you used to have an RSX-S- how do you like your new 6 speed compared to that car? That was the other car I was looking at but it just didn't feel like it had balls to me But from what I've read at clubrsx you can make that car a 14 flat car for about $1000 (hondata/I/E)!

Dyno: 239.05 whp, 211.56 wtq

Here's my dyno:
This was done with Injen CAI, Tanabe Hyper Medallion Exhaust, Hyperground wires and Apexi V-AFCII.
The lowest run was the one with just the intake and ground wires, middle run (19) was the one with intake, wires, exhaust and untuned vafc and the highest run was with the tuned vafc.
The exhaust sounds very quiet. Almost like stock but just a bit louder which I think is good. So if you're looking for something loud, then Tanabe isn't the one. I don't have pics but they look very very clean. However, it appears exhaust didn't give any torque at all, just extra 5 hp.
The settings for VTEC controller are as follows:
VTEC engagement point Lo -> Hi 4700
Hi -> Lo 4600
Here are the setting for high cam only:
4900 - 2
5300 - 2
5700 - 2
6000 - 2
6400 - 2
6700 - 2
7000 - 3

With these settings we got 13whp and 14wtq. AMAZING! I never thought this would be possible, the best I expected was 7-8

My previous post was somehow deleted so I'm attaching a smaller pic.
And here is the dyno

i'm not an expert on how these vafc's generate power? Don't they just lean out the fuel? Are they harmful to your engine in any way? DId you lower the vtec engagement point?

This guy is very credible.....

I remember a few weeks back that he posted buying it, and no one really cared. Now he has gotten positive results and gained more power than most Accord V6's.

Yeah, I"ve met Dima. He's a serious tuner. Plus he had a well-modded RSX-s before.

Thanks a lot everyone!
It cost me 310 for the VAFC shipped. I got it off eBay and to tune it it's another $85. I got it done in DRT Racing in Woodside, NY (queens). I have the diagram how to install it. It's not that hard, just that they throttle wire has to be connected to accelerator and not throttle because 7th gens have drive by wire throttle and that complicates the issue.
The ground wires basically replace the stock wires and mount to the same grounding points. If the wires are thicker they decrease the loss of power that is lost by grounding. Like parasithyc loss that happens with underdrive pulleys. But in my opinion it's BS, they just look good, and if they give you anything, it'll prob be not more than 2whp or so.
I'm still waiting for Comptech downpipe and UR pullies. Hope to have 250whp

Oh yeah, those runs were on the dynojet. And yes, I lowered the VTEC to 4700 like on the new TL.

Great news!

What are the ranges of power potentials from the V-AFCII. Did you have yours tuned towards the fully aggressive side ? Any more details appreciated.

Nice work man
I will probably do the same now when I get an exhaust and downpipe. Any downsides you've seen to it so far? How's the MPG?

How about low end torque? Did you loose any or did u gain? Can't you tune it so u could get even more HP? Also, are u wasting more gas?
MORE DETAILS PLEASE!

HID question - do they light up good?

As far as losing low end torque, I didn't notice. I actually think I gained a little because now when I drive in 1st gear at about 10mph and then floor it my tires start spinning for a little while. Before that didn't happen.
I only wasted one tank of gas and it was only half full after I installed the VAFC so I haven't noticed much. But after I filled it up I drove for about 100 miles and so far so good. It deffinitely didn't decrease. The guy tuning it said that the car initially ran pretty rich and he leaned it out a bit.
This was the most we got from the VAFC. The other runs showed results such as 234, 235, 233, etc.
Yeah I know, I gotta go to the track and see what the 1/4 mile is. I'm hoping to be in the 14.4 or 14.3 range.
Also, some more info on torque, now when I shift into third my tires chirp, before they almost never chirped and if they did it was very negligible. Now they chirp much more. And I'm not riding on stock michellins (I got Kumho 711, they're crap but better than stock).
Best of all is that the exhaust is not loud at all. I really recommend it. I'll take some pics of my car along with exhaust in the next few days and post em.
And lastly, sorry I don't know what the a/f was

HIDs light up great.
I heard they say that the higher the Kelvin rating the less light and the more blue it is. But you have to re-aim the lights anyway once you put HIDs. After I aimed them properly they light up very nice. I tried taking pics of it but it's very hard to tell how it looks from the pics

93 or 89 octane?

Good numbers. Get sticky tires and run it on the track.
Light rims w/ 17 x 8 (fronts) will help.

Great job! The potential seems to be there! As for track times, I think our cars can get 14.5 stock, you have better tires and all the extra power; I think you should be able to get 14.2 or 14.3.
