Dyno.

I noticed you only want SAE corrected dynos,I just had my 2003 EXV6 sedan dynoed at Cybernation Motorsports,Fort Lauderdale Fl.They only gave me a STD figure for 2 runs, I don't have a digital camera to post sheet yet,and Im sorry for posting this here,if it is not warranted,but maybe someone can convert STD to SAE.The car is completely stock. 5-8-03.Time was 10:30 a.m./Temp 88 F./ Humidity 75%.Dyno run 1 was max Power= 192.5/max Torque=168.9. Oddly the 2nd and final run was max Power=203.4/max Torque=176.9.

I don't have any of my old slips or dyno sheets but when I had my 2 stage direct port nitrous I ran a 13.5 @ 106mph and I had 323WHP. I had a custom 2 stage nitrous system. It was a 50shot dry off the line and then a 125shot direct port. On just then second stage I ran a 14.0 @ 99mph. My best all motor dyno run was 201whp and I averaged a 198ish. ALl thoes runs a SAE corrected.

MODS: (I used to have all this stuff)
AEM Cold Air Intake
OBX Headers
Custom Straight Exhaust (Tanabe Racing Mufflers) (No Cat)
NGK #7 Spark Plugs
AEM Pullys
Field V-AFC Dyno Tuned
2 Stage Direct Port Nitrous

My shop that sponsors me (Cybernation Motorsports) did all my work and tunning. Paul the manager can varify all the numbers and stuff. Like I said I don't have my sheets anymore but I have posted these number up on the old AV6 site.

Infamous, I know SFP keeps their runs on their computer. Ask the manager if he still has his. I don't know if Cyber keeps them. Damn, you never posted your slip nor your dyno sheets. With all the money you drop on your car get a damn scanner already.

Jim. When you get it scanned just go ahead and post it. I'm changing it since not everyone has STD.

dyno

"hey'' Infamous: Paul was the one who setup the dyno run for me yesterday,they seem to have a great deal of experience tuning cars."sorry",I did not see your other post on the group dyno until after I dynoed mine,Paul gave me a good deal though.I'll try to post mine as soon as I can,if not maybe they have a copy of it in the computer and they can confirm it.The numbers still seemed respectable,even with that damn rotten egg stink that fills my cabin when I stop at a red light.

Dyno

Thanks Infamous: I work on the weekends,I know it sucks,but it pays the bills.Only free time I have is wed/thur till 1:00 then I pick up my kids.I'm not to serious about moding my car though,I just wanted to see if my car was lacking power,I have my suspicions due to the extreme rotten egg odor I get in my cabin,even with the air on recirc,still and exhaust leak does not necessarily mean I'll loose power anyway, at least I don't think so,besides I bought the Accord because I liked the comfort (seats),ride,smoothness,quietness,interior and decent power,If I wanted a faster sedan I would have bought the 6 speed altima,but the Accord offered more of what I liked.I dont think I can post the dyno figures,I just cant get a scanner,If someone needs to see them I'd be glad to mail them copys,so they can post it,or maybe STEVETEC can convert the above numbers.Thanks,maybe one day we can hook up,I just have to find the time.

Hey Jim!

If you go back to the shop with a floppy disk, they should be able to copy your dyno run information to a floppy. Once you have the data on a floppy you can compare it DIRECTLY with other members who have their dyno run data file as well.

If not you can always ask them to reprint your old but with SAE correction factor instead.

Can you do me a favor, and at 500 RPM inteverals, look at your dyno graph and tell me what the HP and TQ numbers are?

For example:

Code:
RPM       HP     TQ
-----------------------------------
4,000    170    160
4,500    175    163
5,000    180    165
5,500    185    170
6,000    190    165
6,500    195    155
Something like that would be VERY helpful.

Also do you if they dyno'd your car in 3rd gear or 4th gear? (Very important to know)

90% of the time on an automatic the Max Power and Max Torque numbers are bogus and cause people to believe their HP and TQ is much higher than it really is becuase of spikes on the dyno when an automatic transmission shifts.

Take care!

BNut: The first run was in D4 with a very smooth climb to max power,the torque curve is very flat.I dont know what gear the 2nd run was but you can see a drop and then a climb to a max power of 203.4 wheel H.P.it might have been in 3rd gear.overall I'm not to impressed by the dyno sheet it lacks SAE corrections and does not list RPMs only speed.I called cybernation and they were unable to find the run on their computer,I guess the guys who dynoed the car never made a copy,it was only $49.00 for the run,still worth it, at least I have a ball park figure,and the car seems to be mechanically sound.I'm still trying to get the run posted,sorry about the lengthy delay.I see now, they have a disposable digital camera with a disk you can put into your computer,I might try this.

Can you list out the different HP reading at the different speeds.

I can roughly convert your speeds to RPM.

O.K. here it is,speed starts of at 50 mph,H.P. goes up from 0 to 140, 55mph=160H.P. 60mph=180H.P. at 65mph starts to drop of at 180H.P. to 135 H.P. 68mph starts to climb sharply to 203.4H.P. at 70mph(spike)drops down to 135 H.P. again,75mph=165H.P 80mph=170H.P. 85mph=175H.P. 90mph=185H.P 95mph=190 H.P.95mph=195H.P.drops down from there to 135H.P and climbs back up to 195H.P. at 103mph to end. Thanks BNut.

Hmm good numbers I'm surprised that it didn't spike if the pull was in 4th gear the first time. I believe 3rd gear or manually up shifting would prove the most accurate results. You run premium fuel?

Doh, for some reason I missed this message.

I just realized I don't know the gearing for the 7th Gen Accords so I can't convert your MPH to RPM's like I can for a 6th gen.

Give me a minute to find RSX.exe and I can convert the MPH to RPM's.

In 3rd Gear
75mph = 4,575 rpms = 165HP
80mph = 4,875 rpms = 170HP
85mph = 5,185 rpms = 175HP
90mph = 5,490 rpms = 185HP
95mph = 5,790 rpms = 195HP

Hey guys I appreciate and THANK YOU for your help,it's fantastic, as well as this site. I'm still trying to figure out how to post my dyno sheet,I have the camera and E-mailed my mother some attachments of my kids, but to post the sheet here seems difficult for me. I take it, that even the 195 H.P. to the wheels in 3rd gear is still pretty good considering the heat and humidity,Thanks again.

195 to the wheels is VERY good for hot humid weather.

If you email me your scanned images I can post them here for you.

Yup that seems about right with the premium gas, I pulled 190 on regular gas in fair weather.
