New dyno done

I got my new dyno tuning done today courtesy of Ron at R&D Performance here in Albuq. (You know.....the same Ron that is interested in doing the new cams?) His screen name is rpm .

We spent a few hours and did some wideband tuning both on and off the dyno. Made a total of 10 runs, but the best was 190hp/175tq. This is a gain of 15whp and 17wtq ON TOP OF my previous dyno tuning!! I went in with 175whp/158wtq and just by his tuning, saw that much of an increase!!
We wanted to do some nitrous pulls but my dumbarse didnt have a full bottle We did get a couple but they werent numbers that were up to its full potential, so I will wait until next time when we strickly do nitrous tuning.

Thanks Ron!

Where is this place at? I thought the only two dyno's in town were the Dyno's Edge and Speed Dreams. What are thier prices like?

Good numbers!

Those are the only 2 dynos in town. We got it done at Speed Dreams, but R&D Performance (Rons shop) is right up the road off of Commanche. Going east, go over the hill to the little league fields. Take the first right at the bottom of the hill. Head down for about 1/4 mile to where it comes to a T. Its on the Southeast corner. R&D tuned it while we were using Speed Dreams dyno. The prices are really fair. Compared to other shops in town that do wideband tuning, it beats thier prices hands down and you get better quality work. Nitrous is even cheaper than the other places! If it tells you anything, that is the shop that the owners of other speed shops take thier own cars to!

Here is the torque graph (torque is what we tuned off of). I need to get my hp graph reprinted since my kids got a hold of it
Hope this tides you over

EDIT: Dont look at the numbers on the graph itself, that is just where the cursor was. What you need to see it where the apex of the curve hits the numbers on the left side of the graph.

Its kinda hard to tell what the torque #'s are b/c they're in increments of 5. But using HP= rpm(torque)/5252 you are at about 160whp at 4800rpm where your torque curve peaks at 175lbs/ft.

But it would be much easier to tell what the numbers are with the hp graph .

What is your vtec crossover point set at ?

You are kinding right? How is it hard to tell what the torque numbers are? The graph shows it plain as day.

well, its hard to tell what the torque peak is (at least for me it is). Is it 170 or 175 ? The "169.8" and lack of sleep impares my vision

Maybe I can see it better since I have it it front of me. The blue one actually hits the 175 line. The number is kinda in the way, sorry for that.

Its cool.

Thse are nice numbers none the less. I would have thought that the torque peak came higher in the RPM's, but thats pretty damn good.

Again, nice numbers. I am glad you like the shop. However, he quoted me some astronomical price to do a basic cam install on my LS1, so I figure I will just do it myself. I guess he is used to catering to the Corvette crowd that has more money than brains.

He does have great dyno prices though.

Are you talking about R&D or the Speed Dreams dyno shop? SD does all the Corvette stuff, R&D does all the tuning. We just used that dyno shop since it is right up the street! Nice place though.
