WoW New Dyno Results

Conditions: 85 degrees , 35 % humidity
New Mods : Extrude Honed Upper Plenum , Red Line High Temp ATF, 103 octane Gas

Results : 260 whp / 236#s
Both #s are up 20

I do have a lean condition issue which I will be trying to solve this weekend by rebuilding my FPR to change the fuel delivery curb to give me more gas where I need it. If this doesnt work, than its time for a stand alone engine mang. system.

If there was a praying smiley I'd put it. To pray the R&D works for the tranny build.

I need to clarify a couple of things, a month ago when my engine was apart getting polished and extruded, I thought that my throttle body was being extruded also. Turns out that my mechanic did send the TB but it was never extruded, Extrude Honing does not do TB, sorry if this info misled anybody. As far as the gains that Im showing, I feel that I cant attribute 100% to the extruding alone. I feel that some of the gains might be from a break in period of my new trans. I dynoed the next day after installing a new trans from Honda and pulled 240/219, It felt to me that the car felt a little better after a couple of weeks but I never returned to the dyno untill this week. None the less I feel that the extruding is very benificial to anybody but do not be surprised if the gains are not 20 WHP , also the gains might be a little swollen because of the F/I .... Maybe? I dont know , I cant explain everything but I do know that I am very happy! I am also going to the track tonight for a couple of runs, I will post results later!

I'm not familiar with extruding. What exactly do they extrude and more or less what is it? Isn't it like a coating or something?

They have a patten on their process, they force clay through the pipe to literally extrude the pipe to make it bigger. How much bigger? I cant tell for sure maybe a few mm, you can call them and ask or visit their website www.extrudehone.com

Estimated cost? I'm sure you have to pay to get the engine take apart plus the cost of shipping plus the cost of extruding.

It's expensive, but it works. Some 240 guys have gotten as much as 15-20whp with extrude hone, so i wouldn't doubt that a good bit of your gains are due to this. Imagine play-dough crossed with sand-paper, that's what extrude hone is.
