J32 Accord dyno

Dynojet dyno:

Tuned with Apexi AFC Neo at R&D Dyno (www.rddyno.com)

Summary:
Before tune: 241hp/192tq
After tune: 252hp/216tq

Peak gains: 11 peak hp, 24 peak torque
Max gains: 33hp/37tq

Mods:
-J32A2 6speed swap
-UR SS pulley set
-Comptech headers
-Magnaflow catback
-AEM cold air intake
-Apexi AFC Neo tuned
-Koyo radiator
-18x7.5 Volk TE37's w/225 rubber

***Notes***
I found out today that the bypass valve is not opening like it should be, which would explain the huge gains. Im thinking that the wiring needs to be looked over by CC Auto again, to see whats up. Hopefully I'll figure out how to pay for the tuning after the bypass valve starts working again.

edit: Got retuned at Church Automotive with great results, not done yet since I have to get some things done first to get rid of some minor pinging at 5K rpm, adn replace the IMRC relay so my valve can stay clsoed below 3800rpms and open when neccesary. Yes, he did enrichen the A/F ratio to prevent pinging that I had before with the previous tune, now the ECU isn't pulling timing out anymore.

If your bypass valve isn't working talk to Kan, I think he had the same problem. Looks sick dude! Are you the first 6th gen sedan with a 6 speed?

Yes they are the coolest tuners and I'll have to go back because my bypass valve stoped opening so I will take my car back to CC Auto to have Chieu check it out.

Yeah its actually sad about your car Siggy I plotted your dyno on mine and felt sorry for you Get your car fixed!

I wish we had CC Auto everywhere

Future plans, make sure everything is perfect with tuning by getting the bypass valve working and then a retune, hopefully someone reimburses me or charges me much less haha.

Doctor X:
Kan had his own problems I actually have the IMRC working its just a wiring issue that needs to be corrected that or the electric motor died out which I doubt.

I might be the first 6th gen sedan with the 6speed swap, but i'm not sure.

I have seen a sedan j32a2 but I dont know if it was a 6spd. No matter what it is a huge accomplishment. Once someone perfects this, it will be better to do the swap then do the s/c or turbo. And then do the s/c or turbo later down the road . Congrats

I think he either had the 5speed auto and there was another that was a 3.5 auto.

Yeah the J32 swap does a great job competing with the SC Accords much more practical, fun (shifting), and great NA fuel economy

Yeah forced induction would be nice but not for a long time

Those are some sick results! That car is making some very nice progress. With forced induction it should be a total beast.

We'll see how sick the results are with the bypass valve working

Yeah, its weird, I wonder how tuning will go with it working, I can probably say good bye to the 37lb'ft of torque that I gained

Going to CC Autos this Monday to have them check it out. Chieu is always great about it. I'll be complainging about siomething and turn around to see him right at it

SRmotorcars are so cool, that if you don't pay they'll feed you on their piranha's j/k... did you saw those fish? and the place is awesome inside and out huh?

yeah, once eveything get fixed i'm going back there again. LMK when are you going. also, bring a couple of those coil pack will 'ya? i think that's the problem (running 5 cylinders?) and that leak on the IC which BTW has been taken care off...

nice dyno numbers! great tq gains!...so its still possible for u to add the ct s/c??? but u don't want to? i want to have that afc neo! ....do u have pics of that in ur car? afc neo is only bout 380cdn$ i think now ... when it first came out it was bout 500cdn ... does it show u the a/f ratio???

how much did u pay for the tuning/dynoing? per hour charges?
now u need to track it to get some times!

I'll bring some packs down if you bring the elbow and Acura covers

Yeah I saw te fish, they seem to be in a trance just swimming in place haha, but then we saw them go wild briefly, they're quick little buggers

Klepto:
Yeah its possible to add the SC I just don't want to
No pics of the Neo just yet but its under my radio in the storage cubby
It does show the AF ratio but not the way I thought it would, I have to play around with it to find out what it can do.

I paid 125 for tuning since it was easy but its 150/hr
What I need to do is get some traction before I get to the track.

Kurt:
I lihe how you edited the goal of 300 part
Yeah its pretty much there and thats tuned with the bypass closed too, so we'll see if opening the valve helps out more or will just make the gains look lower.

Im sure you can go into the 13s. Its just all about getting off the line. The cl guys always say it is really hard to get a good launch. Practice makes perfect.
