Talking New Dyno Results: 277.4whp & 254 wtq

I got the car tuned today and the peak numbers weren't where I expected it to be. I was looking for something between 280-290whp but 277.6 isnít bad . The good thing is there are huge gains throughout the powerband which is more important than just peak numbers. The AFR is between 11.5-12 thanks to the E-Manage. No more crappy 10.5 AFR with tuning via Comptech FPR. I highly suggest that all SC'ers with the CL-S HBP go the E-Manage route for tuning, it's so much better. The changes from my old dyno to this dyno:

- Custom 3.5 SC pulley
- E-Manage with PnP harness
- 440 RC Engineering Injectors
- Aeromotive 1:1 FPR
- AEM UEGO Wideband Gauge
- Autometer Cobalt Boost Gauge

The red line is my last dyno session for tuning the car with the methanol injection kit. I also want to note that this was dyno'd on a Dyno Dynamics dyno which outputs lower numbers than Dynojet.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the timing is pretty consverative. It was retarded to -4 at peak boost and near redline.

I think I'm done modding this car

great numbers man. you will have no problem going deep into the 13's with that amount of power. I bet it feels good being able to trim fuel from the horribly rich AFR that the standard comptech FPR provides.

I didn't bring anything with my to record the dyno....so no videos. Sorry guys. Yes, the peak was only 10wtq but if you look @ 4800RPM to redline, there's a huge increase in torque. The peak torque also comes sooner as well.

Congrats bro. How does the tranny respond to this? just take it easy if you can that way you can avoid the next big dollar mod.

I wonder what kind of power you'd have with a TL A-Spec tranny...

Tranny is fine *knock on wood*. I don't drive my car hard and most of time it's stuck in traffic . I drain and fill my tranny every 2-3 oil changes and the oil is never burnt. Also the magnet drain bolt has very little shavings. The first drain and fill before I got the SC had more shavings than when I drain and fill now.

Nice numbers!

Your torque and hp gain from 4000 to redline is impressive.

Just b/c I have all that power doesn't mean I have to drive like a dumbass. You have lots to learn rice one.

I'll take the car to the track this year. I also forgot to mention in my first post that timing was pretty consverative to be on the safe side. It was retarded more than what Serge recommended at peak boost and near redline. I'm sure if I advance it back a bit, it gain some more.

nice numbers! how much did the 440 RC injectors set you back? im looking to get bigger injectors at the moment and was thinking of getting the same size. i take it the emanage was able to scale them too. what the DC you have them running at?

$88 a pop for the 440 RC injectors and yes, E-Manage is a must to scale them or your car won't idle correctly. Basically there's an option in there for you to set your OEM size and the larger injectors. Correction factor goes oem size/larger injectors.

I didn't get a chance to look at the duty cycle the injectors are running at. Serge has 370cc injectors and he's only running @ 68%. I should be somewhat lower than that.

ahh, very good. are you running the blue or ultimate version? $88 a pop isnt bad, where did you buy them from? i have the TL HBP already, just looking now to get injectors, external fuel pump, FPR and get re-tuned.

E-Manage Blue. The injectors were ordered directly from the RC. Check out eBay, it's usually cheaper on there but most of the time it only comes in 4's so you'll have to buy 2 elsewhere. Ditch the crappy rising rate FPR that Comptech provides and use a 1:1.

ic ic, so you recommend the aeromotive 1:1 FPR? i actually have a 7th gen accord with a 04-06 TL SC kit, it didnt come with a comptech FPR, only a tool that crushes the stock FPR to allow more fuel.

Stock FPR are 1:1 as well but yes I would go with the Aeromotive 1:1 FPR. It's not that expensive.

I was wondering what ur stock dyno looks like as far as the curve and where peak #'s are reached? Do u plan on advancing the cams to give u a similar graph to stock or leave it as is? will trying to mirror stock give u higher peak #'s?

Loving that flat torque curve that you have in VTEC

Did you dyno the car with the Work wheels on it? Damn... I want to know how much torque you have between 1K-4K.

I wish my tuner printed out some of the runs before we started doing full throttle to redline. When we was just tuning 3K to 5K the torque was as high as 275+......I'm not sure how the number got so high. It wasn't just one miracle run as well. Mostly all the runs at the beginning had that high torque number. It only came down when he WOT to redline. I guess it varies depending on when it's floor'd??? I dunno, I can't explain it LOL.

Car was dyno'd with my stock wheels. The weather is still crap here and I don't want to risk wreaking my Work wheels with all the potholes from winter.

EDIT: Actually, I think the TQ number was higher since we actually 8.5-8.6psi during those early runs.....and the peak boost came sooner.

^ Please resize that post......no need for all that empty space. kleptodathief, do everyone a favor and stick to your rice mods until you learn to drive properly. You should stay away from any performance mods until you realize some road sense.
