Talking Yeah, my DYNO - 258whp

Here is my first time dyno results - best run [email protected]

I figured since most people did dyno before s/c installation, I would skip that part.
Anyway, the following new mods has been added:
1. CLS HB pulley (7.5 - 8psi)
2. RC fuel injectors (270cc)
3. UR s/c crank pulley
4. Apexi SAFC II

As I mentioned before in 'Forced Induction' forum I had 'choking' issue with my car running below 2000 rpm and it seems it was resolved for now (no longer 'engine light') however, my fuel pressure gauge needs to be replaced since it is inaccurate.
In addition, I need to install boost gauge to see where I am at.

So, here is the DYNO showing 3 runs: (85 degrees @ 56% humidity)
1. First run without tuning SAFC II [email protected]
2. Second run tuning a little and getting [email protected]
3. Finally, best result after successfully tuning SAFC II and getting [email protected]

As you can see SAFC II gave me 10whp for now and if I adjust my a/f ratio again I might gain even more.

Now, attached is kind of damaged (lower part rpm are not visible) dyno graphic that was saved to my floppy.
I will scan the paper copy tonight and post it tomorrow. For now consider the rpm range starts from 3600 to 7200 and increments in 200 rpm.

Sweet!

I wish I could just figure out how to correctly wire in that SVAFC into the ESM. When I first tried that (wiring is my Apexi V-AFC), it totally killed my low end! If I could just figure that out, I think i'd tune it for a little more power. I'm running at 242WHP and 210 Torque, so I know to get to 258WHP, it took alot of work!

Great dyno and good luck!

Cool!!!

Add another to the midwest powerhouse.

But!!!!! Careful on the spikes... the results are really illustrated by clicking just before the nasty spike at the end of the run.

And they gotta get that dyno fixed...its always choppy when the results are acquired

Congrats on the new dyno!!!

I plan on adding the CL-S High Boost Pulley next month after I get the car dyno'd with the regular Hi-Boost Pulley, CL-S cams, and UR pulleys. They are all in right now, just need to find a free weekend to go dyno.

Thought the fuel issue wasn't gonna get solved anytime soon, but looks like SAFC-II is what we need. Interesting to know how the SAFC was wired in, before or after the ESM? I would guess after, but let us know what was done.

Wow the midwest power house!!!!!!!!!

Tag you are correct , there seems to be a spike at the very end but it is a solid 250whp. I think with a little more tuning he can be at 260 with the big boys . To know for sure I need to see his A/F chart.

Tag , would you be so kind to explain again how the VAFC is successfully connected so that Bigvic and Cldriver can enjoy a little a/f tuning of thier own.
Tag is the mastermind behind the VAFC and ESM working together!!

I wish I can see your RPM's but I think you're at 250whp flat.

BTW for the midwestern powerhouses that really wanna get the ECU working.

Thanks ALL for response,

Was busy with work (end of calendar year), came late, so I'll scan tonight post it tomorrow morning so you'll see a/f ratio and rpm range.

It is a solid 250whp, for now.
New fuel pressure, boost and a/f gauges needs to be installed then I tweak FPR and a/f ratio again. I have to see my boost level if its less then 7.5psi then I'd check whether s/c crank pulley helps me or not. I will dyno later.

'cldriver' the SAFC II was wired after ESM, however I dont know the installation specs since dyno shop installed the unit. I can check next time if you want it.

'Frosty' cls cams are possible, however the more important upgrade would be a performance tranny first coming to a SEMA show, then definately internals are the way to go.

'Plum' I need to resolve some issues first, then I'll take it to the track. In addition, I'd like to test theory of manual shifting against leaving in auto mode. I does feel great on the street to shift it manually where I am in control. Like the other night coming from the light (next to me Gran Prix GTP) when I shifted to 2nd I pull stong up to 55 he was 5 car length behind me and gave up.

As far as manual shifting goes there really is not much difference because from a dead stop your car will redline unless you wanna go past that. If you were racing off a roll it's a diff story.

Lightbulb

Here it is, the right DYNO (showing a/f ratio and RPM range) I managed to scan last night.

As you can see first time run (247.6 whp) had crazy amount of fuel that was later fixed. This Saturday Im gonna have boost, a/f and correct fuel pressure gauges. Will try to adjust FRP as well.

I need to modify my chapter it should say Midwest.

Track time will be later. I prefer running in temperature between 65-70 degrees. When it cools off I'll go and maybe Tool and TAG can join me.

02AV6 is running 270cc injectors and tool is running 370cc injectors. Based on the a/f chart, the larger injectors don't seem necessary. Is that right?

Tool can collaborate on 370cc also he has extrude hone done, however you need 270cc which is next step from stock (240cc) in order to properly run 7.5-8psi CLS HB pulley and tuning is a must besides having fp/af/boost gauges, this is where I still working on. When all this resolved I'll be at the track.

Unless you put some software to raise your redline, your peak hp is 240whp @ 6250 rpm which is still really good. Also your torque of 200 is sweet!

No software. I believe something wrong with rpm settings on dynojet - should be 3.6 to 7.0 or 3.8 to 6.6. When I tune it more I'll make sure next time on dyno. As far as torque its 211 unless you look @6250 rpm mark when it came back to 200, again the rpm marks are strange.

Yeah you're right about torque. I acknowledged this to myself but typed 200. Your torque peaks at what Honda says it should peak at.

Hey, TAG. I want to see your best dyno before extrude (if you can after too) include a/f ratio as well. In fact, I've never seen you posted even one.

TAG has posted plenty of dynos, check the dyno forum.

As far as me requiring 370cc inj? All I know is that I am detinating with the 270cc inj's. I went to 370 because I wanted to make sure that it would solve the problem! So far so good!, it does seem a little rich but not too much that its killing HP. I will dyno this sat. am and I am going to the track Sunday!
Sunday night I will start a new thread detailing my dyno and track expereince.
