Who needs Photochop...

Ok as a CGI artist I figured it was finally time to model my car. Here it is, still in the very rough stages, without paint and not as smooth as I'd like. I'm modeling this for a music video im doin for a friend. I'm gonna make an accord drift

then tell him to upload it somewhere else and link it, I know the 30 seconds that it takes to do that won't kill him

Cool

It looks like your using Maya to do this. and from the looks of it this stuff isn't easy to do. Are you using actual measurements of the car or are you just looking at pics to make it?

BTW: Would it be hard to make an Accord coupe as well?

Ya I'm using Maya for this. It isn't really hard as long as you know what youre doing. It's just a little time consuming. I made the LX first because I found the blue prints for it on-line. I'm working on shortening it to coupe size from pictures of my car and keeping it to scale. That way we could try body kits on and even prototype a few new ones. I've always wanted to see an M3 bumper on a coupe!

I found the blue prints on some web site that has hundreds of them for different cars and planes. I'll post the link as soon as I get back to school. I've been using Maya 4.5 for 2 years now and just started on Maya 5 Complete several months ago. Thanks for the offer to host the file, I'll PM you as soon as I get some more work done on it!
