i think hyundai is doing a good job with this car - its a huge step forward. honestly, if hyundai came out and introduced nice/low cost cars like this from the beginning, they'd fail miserably because they dont have any guarantee that people would buy them

i bet you they will sell a ton more of the genesis - for the people who cant afford bimmers benzes or lexus'

its a smart move IMO

40% sure that this will be my next car. With 310hp, good looks (except the rear window), RWD, and sick low price. This car modded, like the concept will look amazing

I really like it. I think Hyundai makes nice coupes and has pretty original styling, unlike their completely knocked off sedan designs.

You guys should do more research on HYUNDAI cars.
they are really doing good for the last couple years.
This is a new era for Hyundai.
They are more reliable than ever and have finally established a good reputation.

im excited for the company.
im excited about the Genesis sedan and coupe.

Looks like a combination of a g35, and a lexus. I heard it was gonna be a V8 RWD tho and this pissed me off cuz if Hyundai comes out with a V8 car before Honda, OooooOOoOo I'd be furious!!
That 2.0L is gonna have issues I know it already. That's like Honda putting the Civic Si K20 into an Acura RL..... CHUNG JU YUNG. Its funny CHUNG "JEW" YUNG founded cheap car company HYUNDAI.......which is notorious for taking conceptual designs from other car-makers and using them on their own cars... LAME. BE ORIGINAL HYUNDAI! MAKE IT A 2.1L TURBO AND A 3.9L V6 lol

I don't really consider the Honda or Toyota brands to be much if any higher in "class" than a Hyundai. They're all "commoner" class cars to me. Everybody has Toyotas, Hondas, Chevys, Fords, and Hyundais. Hondas and Toyotas are at the nicer end of commoner class cars, but that's it. Hyundai has continually brought out new product, has average or better relaibility at this point and in some cases much better, and offers very nice vehicles at competitive price points. Now Kia and Suzuki, yeah.... I really don't think the "it's still just a Hyundai" argument holds much water anymore. It's not the 90's anymore when their biggest seller was the Excel which was a complete POS. They've come light years since then. Consumer Reports recommends a lot of their products, and the Azera was named as one of the most under-rated vehicles. Meaning it's an outstanding car that just doesn't sell very well. Can't say that about anything Kia or Suzuki makes, LOL.

my buddy and I have been keeping an eye on this for over a year. if the fund are available i am going to pick up a SE 2.0 I4. It only has something like 210whp but hyundai claims they allowed plenty of head room for the tuner scene and the motor can handle up to 29psi!

not sure maybe somewhere in the high teens. it has 9:3:1 compression its shares a similar motor with the new EVO. i know people that push over 300whp on there elantras with no engine work. hyundai motors arent too shabby.

Lol, I used to sell Hyundai's at a dealership, let me tell you guys, Hyundai has come a LONG way. They are legit and here to stay. Don't feel bad about owning one, quality is excellent, performance for money is incredible and they're starting to look good also. Watch out Honda and Toyota.

-------------

Edit: And did you see the options list at the bottom? They will offer a Brembo package with 13.4" front rotors!!!

Steve, the Kia KOUP looks like it has pretty good potential. Maybe that will Kia along?
