they look like a sporty type mini van. i'll soon need a 6-7 seater that's why i'm considering getting one. for the price it's more reasonable than the ody, but it's smaller tho. reliability is what i'm looking for, never owned or driven a mazda. thanks for the info simon.

What up Jowell?

I'm with Simon on the Oddy. My neighbor has a '09 Oddy and that thing is seriously sick! I rode around with him the other day and it rides real smooth. When you need some power, it is right there. Stock Navi, dvd player, plush seats, auto opening doors and rear hatch...I am thinking about getting rid of my pos Explorer for one..

I do agree with the smaller size being better though...the oddys are getting progressively bigger..the mazda5 would defintely be better in that aspect..good lcuk with whatever you decide though..

thanks matt.

ody is bigger, more power, more space, better specs, but does cost a lot.

i might scratch the mazda5. looking at pics it doesn't have much trunk space when the 3rd row is up. but i'm thinking of getting a roof rack thule for cargo. still have a couple of months to decide, my 2nd kid doesn't come out of the womb till april

Never driven one but heard great things about them.

If you're going to tread into the "full-size" minivan segment, the 2011 Sienna looks awesome; SE looks better than should be even more fun to drive.

I sell em. If you plan having that 3rd row up all the time or try to haul stuff when you need to have the 3rd row up it's not too practical. That's the only downfall.

It's not in the same class as the Oddy or any other full size minivan because it's not supposed to be. It's supposed to be for small families or people that like to travel etc. Whenever I'm showing one I call it a car with minivan features just because it has the 3rd row, and dual sliding doors.

Which trim level are you looking at? Sport, Touring, or Grand Touring? I just sold a Grand Touring with added roof rack and moon roof deflector for $21,300 last weekend...

All great, although I'm annoyed Subuaru doesn't have a 5AT in those things by now. Actually they might as well jump ahead at this point at do six.

I love mazda5. If you aren't planning to more than 6 passengers, and have budget anywhere between $10,000-15,000. I'd say it's best mini-van in it's class. sporty little hauler.
