The car was taken to the shop today(AGAIN) and it was decided the RX-7 engine will be rebuilt. On top of that....... the newly upgraded Turbo kit will be added on as well!!!

I won't be able to have the car until 3 weeks pass by.... :*(!! but that won't stop me from visiting our mechanic 10 times a day!

I will try to keep new stuff posted up.

yeah, these rotary engines need to be rebuilt around every 70k miles, unlike most hondas which last for 200k+ miles. but performancewise, rebuilding every 70k is definately worth it!

why would someone flame you for going rotary?

the main problem with them is cooling/heating. im sure you know that. first things first should always be upgraded radiator and intercooler. Also, be very good on your oil changes, Rotaries use tons more oil than a standard piston engine, and its very important to keep clean oil in there.

The motors crack because stupid owners dont know how to take care of the Rotary. You have to realize its a special car and you cant drive it like it was a regular honda. It needs special attention.

Why do you think its so hard for ME to find an FC right now? because stupid kids who THINK they can drive, or think they can drift, either crash them into the walls or blow their engines, 90% of the time its because they dont know everything about their car, usually its the over heating. And so when a true rotary enthusiast, in fact a TRUE FC enthusiast, wants to find an FC, its damn near impossible to do so.

Ugh. that pisses me off.

Anyways. sorry.

Good luck jimmy, i know you'll treat the car right! and have fun with it.

The engine lubes up the apex seals with oil, which means for you that the engine actually consumes oil, not just recycles it. And don't forget that those apex seals are essentially your piston rings, and when they go bad (every 70k) you gotta rebuild

On that note, bad ass ride

true that.. there are a lot of people out there who get em just as a fad rather than appreciating it for what they can do. but if ur interested in an FC model, let me know bro. i will try to find the one thats right for yeh. :-D

One of Mazda’s best cars ever made, second only to the Eunos Cosmo IMO (three rotor version). Congrats
