I have the Escort 8500 X50(newest model) and I got my first two tickets when I had the thing Cops around here are being smartasses and not turning on their radar until the last minute(aka:instant on radar), and when ur detector goes off, it'll be too late, that's what happened to me . So just take it easy on the roads these days

you should get the jammer add on to your X50, thats true, ive noticed it, expecially when you head down towards wheaton from starbucks, on randolph, theres always a cop posted wit his radar on hand and last time my boys solo S2 didnt go off until it was pointed at us, about 200 yards away, thank god it was a red light, and we werent speedin.

Add a big brake kit to the list for when the radar goes off.

If it's the one sitting in the bottom of that hill after Loheman's Plaza and right before Korean Corner, my V1 detects him as far as Loheman's Plaza. I can detect him hitting each car going down that hill. Dunno how anyone can keep 35 mph on that steep hill. LOL.

I've seen them use laser during the daytime and k-band during the evenings. I love the signal pointer on the V1 and also the # of signals it picks up. works like a charm everytime. Laser is very difficult to pick up....u'll get it only if you're lucky and he shoots the person in front of you. Otherwise, u'll get the laser signal when the cop hits you.

Save your money on the laser jammer attachment and buy that one that attaches to the license plate. I don't remember the name of it, but they had it at SEMA

depends on what you want to mod the most, IMO, your system is good for now, go with the sway bar.

u still got stock speakers?

Do you have stock deck?

if u said yes to any of these questions, then scratch the amp idea...

If you have a lot of suspension mods, such as springs, shocks, rear swar, strut etc etc, i would get the struct bar to finish up ur suspension.

Otherwise just get the passport,

grounding kit doesnt sound to bad, i was gonna go ahead and get me a sway bar but ppl here tell me get a TL-S sway bar, other ppl tell me get a CL-S sway bar, im just like ?????, radar issue is out because i have noticed that feds turn their radar guns on as soon as they see u speedin so no chance i catch the bands before u get tagged, speaker issue will get solved in the spring.

im thinkin bout a CF hood, has anyone heard of that invisible bra thats you can put on your whole front end? has anyone put it on their car? heard how it is and works?

thanks for all the advice guys
