Is that 77 on 55, or 87 on 65? Anyway, that is not good. Been there. If the judge is as nice as any Fairfax Co. judge, that's a suspended licence (3-6 months) with or without Lawyer just for the speed. Don't know how much will the "reg not available" will affect you. Most firms will bill between $850 - 1k for representing you. Good luck.

it was a 57 in a 35 zone; fairfax county VA? im in MD, so they should go a bit easier on me right? Since I hear VA traffic laws are a hell lot tougher than ones in MD

and also, my friend was caught doing 83 in a 55 by a MD state trooper, and he went to court and didnt get any points off! He had 6 ppl in the car too! (dunno if that effects anything) They only put him on probation, meaning he cant get another ticket for a whole year, which is a hell lot better than having a suspended license for 3-6 months

jesus christ, suspended license for 22 over? I didnt know VA go hard like that!

Yep man. I got mine suspended for 1 month, -6 points on the record and $265 fine for an 80 in 55 infraction. The weird thing is that everyone else on the road that night was doing about 75. Give a call to a lawyer and get real orientation. Good luck.
