I'm going to get a camber kit to acquire some negative camber...hopefully I don't have to pull the rear fenders after this

I didn't install the gold rings on my basics ( bought them used). Didn't know what they were for till now 3 years later Lol.
About comment above I never had problem with my alignment. I have lifetime alignment at Firestone and its always within spec when I get my tires rotated there. Except of course for the camber b/c I don't have a camber kit.

the gold rings sits between the top of the spring and the top mount, no you dont need them, but yes they are good.
since tein coils does not compress the spring when the car is unloaded the spring might fall out of aligment its important to keep the spring in the center of the shock/ top hat thus the gold ring.
For your second question, camber would help so would pulling the fender. Depending on how much it hits that will vary on what you need to do. Double check its the fender and not just the rear bumper tab. If you haven't relocated that screw you need to.

|sgrab||If I remember correctly the gold ring centers the spring properly. It came with the coilovers so it's probably necessary.|

Tein SS & Camber Question (Please Help)
I installed my Tein SS coilovers yesterday and I was wondering if the gold ring (adapter) is necessary. If so, what is its purpose?
Also, I have 17x9.5 +15 wheels on 215/45 tires. My setup rubs a bit on dips and sharp turns. I was wondering if I would need rear camber kit or just have my rear fender pulled (they are currently rolled). I want to drop the rear another 1-1/2 inches.
