Interesting move on the v6 powerplant, I didn't see that coming. Its a nice upgrade powertrain wise, but still can't compete with the LS series from GM Sure does look good though....

i dont think it will compete well with the next camaro either, next camaro ATM is 3.9L V6 base and the 5.3L oughta be pushing around 350 or so for the SS model. Z/28 MIGHT be a LS2 with maybe 390 hp or something... but thats later

buttttttttt since that wont be out for a while...

Mustang =

i'm glad they didn't. live axles are simpler and more efficient, and also a ton better at drag launches than indy's

Yeah, it was awesome. They were test driving a ton of the mustangs. I got a V8 GT red and a cool Ford rep passenger so he let me do whatever with the car.

The ford GT was hot! they wouldn't let us sit in it, but we got to touch it

Oh, I forgot to mention that the Ford reps said the mustang will start under 20k, however, the GT nicely equiped will be closer to 30k at least.

I saw a Mineral Grey 2005 Mustang V6 while coming home from school today. As I was getting onto the highway, it flew right by me. Knowing what just flew by me, I accelerated to catch up to it. Got to look at it driving down the highway for about 5 minutes before it got off at one of the exits. I don't know, there's just something about this car because I couldn't stop looking at it. It's very intimidating having one of these driving next to you .

Why is it intimidating? It was only the V6...

Ford really needs to up the HP in that 05' V6 or ditch it. I smoked one of those cars the other day from both stoped and rolling in my Z.

the Mustang is a pony car, the Z a sports car. im sure a V8 mustang may give you a run for your money, you might be able to beat it... but it satisfies its objective, a fun to drive car at a reasonable price. besides at 20k i dont expect it to beat a 28k Z.

28k depending on what Z he has. could be the touring or the track. but yeah. the mustang and the Z are in different classes. as of right now, i'd almost say the mustang is in a class of it's own. stupid GM killed my beloved f-body.

One, because most of the sporty exterior is shared with the GT. And two, because the V6 engine under the hood is more powerful than mine .
