god... new Hyundai is truly sexy..

I mean.. who would expect that from hyundai.

I've seen pics, I said "ok, thats pretty nice looking.."

I finally got to see few of them on the road,
(didn't expect to see sonatas on the road already)

and WOW. that thing just looks sexy. Front is Audi/Lexus-ish, and rear is
PRETTY MUCH sexy 7th gen accord sedan. much more sexy.

I honestly never liked any of the hyundai's design, maybe just a little bit
for new tiburon, but that was about it.. but this new sonata is a pimp..

when I saw it on the road.. I almost rear-ended somebody because I
was looking at it for so long.

anyone saw one? or test drove one?

I agree that the new Sonata is pretty much rip off from here and there but still very well refined Hyundai
You will not see those specs within that price range and their reliability has grown up as well.

Yet... I have no clue on their customer service in the states. Anybody know?

Well we can pretty much say EVERY manufacturer does that. (copying)

I really wouldn't mind as long as they execute it better than the original.

Considering how a magazine rated Hyundai's reliabilty rating to be higher than
honda..... its no longer a "a hyundai".

but engine output wise.. damn. its still a hyundai.

haha Dave is just having fun.

inchbyinch is a korean performance part resale company. (mostly wheels/suspension parts)
'inchbyinch' indicates their precision work with attention to products 'inch by inch'.

ohhh.. now I see that "inchbyinch" sticker on that white sonata. lol.

he wouldn't be referring to "speed"... that sonata is faster than 6th gen av6s.

i'll believe it when i see it. anyone know anyone with one? the day i get beat by a hyundai i sell me car. except maybe a tiburon. but then i just have to look at it and laugh.
but really, engine specs? anyone?

edit: ok so i looked up the stats. its got 235 hp and like 233 #ft of torque. also a 3.3 L. damn it, so maybe. but then again, it also has a curb weight of like 3480. sooo... but then again, i know my car isnt a dragster. if i wanted something to win in the quarter, i'd get a bike...

Well Car&Driver or motortrend or something.. tested it.
auto v6 ran 15.5.. so thats pretty impressive for hyundai I guess.

In real life, I think they would run low 15s stock.
I still can't get over the fact that hyundai did such good job... wtf.

haha. i dont know. i dont like the styling of a lot of the new cars coming out these days.
the 7th gen coupes are definately growing on me, but i didnt like how round they were when they came out. but now that i've seen what some people have done, i am likin em a lot more.
but really, i think the late 90's were a peak for a lot of designers. or maybe thats just the era i like the most. who knows.

I like the new cars thesedays
My feeling to most of the new designs were "BLEH FUGLY" but they grow on me fast. Especially luxury level cars... bimmers, lexus, mercedes, audi, etc etc.

damn. EXACTLY what I was thinking.

I love the new cars.. Most new designs, when you first see it you don't feel it.
Old ones, I don't know its different. You see it, you like it right away.

These days' cars you don't exactly go crazy about it when it comes out,
but as time goes, it grows on me REAL fast and I fall in love with them..

Cool

I've seen a ton of them, we build them here (in Alabama).

They're very sexy. I'd still rather have an established Japanese car, but I'd rather have that particular Hyundai than any domestic car in the same class.
