Domestic V6'ers?

Well, I see some Mazdas and one Cougar...but since imports are the majority of this site (I fit halfway into that category myself), let's see the other domestics we have here and what you have.

I have a Slivermist '98 Grand Prix GTP 4dr with:

HD CAI
3.4" s/c pulley
DHP PCM
U-bend removed
160* T-stat
One step colder AC Delco's
ZZP FSTB & RSTB

Mirko Racing Intake
Mirko Rear strut bar
NGK Iridium Plugs
9mm Ford racing wires
Matrix Coilovers

I'd like more, but I have 2 kids to take care of, and they can barely wash the car themselves

its basically any aftermarket air intake....the cone filter is basically jus sitting there in the engine bay, so its bringin in warmer air instead of cooler air if u made a CAI. it improves performance very slightly, only becuase it isnt as restrictive as my stock set up

Now see I was expecting some new guy answer to that question, but that was perfect! Just a FYI, most people call that a short ram intake

thanks, i try to take care of my baby

heh, man i have only had a couple good races, mostly right after i got it....

about a month ago though, i saw this nice 1992 stang GT (according to his plate) he's pretty loud, sounds like hes got tgood compression, good cam lope and i smell good ole race gas. i pull up to him, look at him, grin, point ahead of us and nail it... weeee im gone, look in my mirrors, he did nothing... slowed down, let him catch back up, same thing, nothing.. boo!!!! so, we eventually catch a light and i start BSing with him during the light, he said that he just got the car running and he hasnt had the oppurtunity to run it at the track yet. i said, yeah i havent made it either, but im hoping for high 13's.... (im really like a high 11 low 12 second car) and he said something about me being full of **** that my car pulled a lot harder then a 13 second car.. hehehehehe

now, no one wants to try me... kinda sucks....

i'm always willing to see what i can do. but usually when someone wants to try something, theres too much traffic around. oh well

What kind of cars want to try you, how long have you had it, when you got it was it ragged out, most of them are or they have had the motor taken out and a small block chevy stuck in, have you ever seen a GSX????, just some questions

i'll try anything that i come upon

i have it about a year and a half, i got with the insurance money after my 450hp El Camino was stolen. it was in that shape when i got it, it only had 55k on it.

actually most '86 and '87 cars that i see usually are in good shape, usually becasue they are the years that are worth more and a lot easier to make fast. ive only seen one or two that have had SBC's in them, mostly 'hot air cars' (84-85 years that were non-intercooler). they are harder to mod and get fast...... with out major work, just bolt ons, you can only get a hot air into the 12's, a intercooler car, you can get into the low 11's and if your good the high 10's, on a factory motor, just bolt ons.

by GSX i am going assume that you mean GNX? GSX's were made in the early 70's, where GNX's were like the 'super' grand national. so if you mean GNX, yes, i have seen one, i even got to drive one. i got to drive GNX #254. it only had 6000 miles on it.. such a beatiful car....

Good catch, The GSX is what I meant. What would be a good price for a Grand National in good shape??. How much was GNX #254 worth???

well, is your asking if i ever seen GSX's, i see them more often then i see GNX's, there were thousands of GSX's and only 547 GNX's.

a good clean GN usually goes between $8-14,000.

that GNX, it probably worth $35-45,000 heh, DAMN

Thats a lot of money, but I guess If I had it like that it wouldnt be a problem to spend it. That car still outperforms a lot of cars nowadays in that price range. What are your next plans for that your car???
