Hey, interesting to see you're going with the 5AT Accord top plate without the butterflies. What will you do about the butterfly switch on your stock harness and also, does that plate fit the 3.7L manifold?

Damn, I didn't think anyone patrolled this section lol. I'm 99% sure the top plate fits. I'm pretty sure the top plate is just the cover, no? And the butterflies are implemented in the first part #, along with the entire manifold.

Nope, the butterflies for the 3.5 and 3.7L are actually integrated into the cover plate as can be seen in Redrum pictures and also from the explosion diagram. I'm on my phone so I can't post the pics to show you this. You might look into it before you order the wrong top plate.

Lol, I don't really patrol this section, I just click new posts rather than look through all the sections lol

HA! I managed to do this on my phone. Here, you can see the butterfly assembly in the top cover.

You can buy the accord AT that doesn't have the butterfly if your an AT. That should save you a few 100 since the top cover is the one that cost the most.

Is the Type S IM Magnesium? I know the 08+ Accords have the Magnesium manifold, but I don't see how it could be the same as the 3.7 TL? I found the top plate for like $68.

Oh yea lol. I wonder if they're the same...............Regardless though, $220 shipped for this manifold and another say, $80 for the plate? $300 for a brand new manifold proven to flow much better than stock? Plus I can sell my ported stock manifold for at least double that ( I keed, I keed).

You would also need a larger throttle body, preferably the 3.7L one which itself is over $400.

^ Apparently the newer manifolds do yield better gains than the P2R ported stock manifolds with the plenums, yes.

Yeah I have the TL-s IM and I can see a nice bump in power. Nothing too crazy but still feels good.

Don't get too excited. You'll need a bigger throttle body to take advantage of this and the 2011 SH-AWD TB is $490

i know it will need a bigger tb, but this has me thinking about selling the mdx spacer kit which i havent installed yet and buying the manifold.

Then do some ported runners. Sometimes im like ugh... I need to sell some more parts.

You don't necessarily need the TB to make gains. Civicdrivr made 6whp/tq throughout the powerband with a bored 71mm TB (Idk what size outlet to the mani, but definitely not 71 straight through) and a vacuum leak. I think this manifold with our stock TB has at least 5-6whp/tq throughout the band. With the TB and a tune, I see 10-12, maybe more.
