accord vs altima

My 2006 honda accord k24 vs my friend's 2008 altima coupe qr25de

We raced from a dig. my accord, surprisingly, had a quicker take off than the torquey qr25de engine. He stayed at my tail until about 60mph then started inching up. By 80mph I had about a half car length ahead of him and crossed the finish line.

good race. I did shift using 1,2,D3, but I'm sure not how much that really helped. next time he wants to try using the auto-manual function on his altima to race me.

Just so I don't get flamed, we did this in an industrial area where there are no cars at 3am. Also had friends go down the street to keep a lookout for cars.

Nice race! The CVT hurts off the line acceleration.it does make up in mid range and top end performance though!

we'll try again next time since he wants to try out the manual shifting feature on his CVT. sounds like it'd only hurt performance though because i dont think a cvt is meant to be shifted manually.
