SIRSIG vs Lamborghini Gallardo

I haven't been to any "real" race for awhile and if there's one, i dont feel it's worthy enough to make a thread for it but this one i just gotta have to

I was driving down 210E in Pasadena fwy the other night when i saw this bright yellow car, 5 cars in front of me, driving second from the slow lane. It's a Lamborghini Gallardo so i slowly drove up on his tail admiring the car, then went to the driver side just to see who's "celebrity" driving it, but to my awe, the guy stepped on it! I was not ready for that so i went to follow him. He slowed down, because there's cars in front of us and I finally catch up and gave him a thumb up, but this guy pretend not to see me and i'm pretty sure he's going to "toy" with me again, so i prepared myself this time and had my gear set to 2nd @ 65mph and sure enough he did punched his car again!

There was a car in front of him nothing on mine, so as soon as i saw him merging to the slowest lane, i stepped on the gas (hey, i need a headstart, ok? ) we got a good long stretch after that, I got a good 2 cars on him (upon headstart) @ 100mph, even @ 140mph, and by the time i hit 5th gear, he's left rear bumper was on my front right fender we slowed down (to breath, i guess ) and i think that race gave him a and he finally opened up his window, he asked me what i got under the hood and i told him just a "SC", he was like "that's very fast!" "i thought you're one of those Evo's that was pacing me on the street the other night..." he ask me what kind of car i got and i told him it's an Accord, he's like "mmmm'k!?" i was piss coz i have to take an exit and go back West cause i passed my destination 8 exit ago and on top of that it wasn't a celebrity

yeah, i know i lost and disappoint this site, but i'm happy now i know i can keep up with those cars... well barely!

Nice try, but its gonna take more than a SC accord to 'keep up' with a Gallardo. I Dont see any around here ever!

i didn't say i won but i did said barely kept up in a logical way, he caught up on me, even when i get 2 cars (maybe more) ahead but it was this adrenalin rush that really push me to go that fast and see what my baby can do

who would've thought that Lambo will race an Accord for fun? so, maybe that's why you haven't seen any around

kept up? nahhh. I would say if it's wasn't for the headstart you made, chances are you'r going to get beat by several cars not only by a bumper. Anyhow, a race with a Lambo even if it's a death, for me is still awesome! Thanks for informing us what a swapped/supercharged J32A2 can do!

its the same with open or closed sig. the thing about the open face, you can breath alot better, doesnt feel like your suffocating in it. i got my open face in glendale, honda something i forgot. ill try to dig up the receipt for it. it was only 68.00, not bad and its snell approve 2005, so it wont get outdated fast.

We saw one on i270 in ohio once. We did basically the same thing, cept never followed him. We had like 3 cars and lined up around him and he just punched it and was gone. Most beautiful sound ever.

Those guys don't drive slow. :-p

Nice death Siggy.

One time I was cruising along going to
Kaneohe on H-3 in my 00 Honda Insight.
My Darling Teresa was with me and we
came upon a Murcilagio or whatever
loafing in the fast lane. I hate passing
on the right but I had to check this baby
out, it was one of the burnt orange ones.
So Mr Lambo was on the phone, he
noticed I was going by him checking out
his car.

I had my window down and tunes
muted so I could hear the engine note.
This is such a cool memory. He dipped
down a gear or two and friggin disappeared,
leaving only me and glorious noise in it's
wake. So I told Teresa 'watch this' and I
banged it down to third and nailed it.
Insights sound kind of industrial.
We were cracking up...

I regret selling my Insight.
Hasport has k series mounts
for them. It's a 1800lb car
w/o a/c.

A little trivia, The NSX, S2K
and Insight all originate from the
same production line in Nagawa,
Japan. The seering wheel in my
Insight was an S2k part, but
without the cow hide.

Not bad Sig,

With fuel the Gallardo weighs over 3300lbs weigh lighter then the 2-ton Murcielago. So dealt with its 520hp quite nicely, although it does have all wheel drive too.

Wish you had a chance to race that M5 that I ran on the freeway.

Jesus, that's way sexy. I don't have the balls to go up against $100K+ cars. Could you link me to your timeslip?
