Steve Jobs Autobiography

Anyone else plan on buying the book? I pre-ordered my copy through the newsstand app. Apparently all of the "major" news outlets have received advance copies of the book hence all the excerpts appearing everywhere.

I personally like how blunt Jobs was when he met with Obama:

All the Best Leaks from the Steve Jobs Biography

Though his wife told him that Obama "was really psyched to meet with you," Jobs insisted on the personal invitation, and the standoff lasted for five days. When he finally relented and they met at the Westin San Francisco Airport, Jobs was characteristically blunt. He seemed to have transformed from a liberal into a conservative.

"You're headed for a one-term presidency," he told Obama at the start of their meeting, insisting that the administration needed to be more business-friendly. As an example, Jobs described the ease with which companies can build factories in China compared to the United States, where "regulations and unnecessary costs" make it difficult for them.

Well I never liked him, and I am guessing this book will go more into why he really was not a great person, but I like him calling out the president on how poor their policies are for businesses...

The book is very nice, a great read. Really shows how he developed great relationships but not by sucking up like most other people. He spoke his mind and it worked for him.. a pioneer for sure

I personally don't think that we need to buy into Steve Job's biography to find out what his life was like. Considering the penchant for Apple to market itself, eventually the story will be splashed somewhere. But of course if you need more details into his thoughts and stuff, by all means!

Thank you for sharing! I recently read this book. This book is a complete biography of Steve Jobs. This is really an amazing person who was able to create a decent competition and Windows and Samsung. I like his success story, I also like his life principles. I like how he could succeed. I admire such people very much and I don't regret a bit that I spent a week reading his biography. If you have time and desire, I advise you to read his biography completely. This is really interesting.
