No it is not an E-Code headlight. It just has a distinctive light beam cut off. I saw an RX 300 with an HID retrofit and the glare was quite noticeable campared to an RX 300 with Stock HID's. I do believe however that all Lexus vehicles with stock HID's have E-Code headlamps with automatic levelers. The beam pattern cut off on HID cars are super sharp and have no glare.

Your RX 300's light beam flares out and up to the right; I've seen it and understand what you're talking about. Most car manufacters now are creating better beam patterns with thier NON HID lights in an attempt to further reduce glare. If you don't believe me compare your lights side-by-side with an RX 300 with HID's and you'll notice how much different the cut off is up against the wall, or (if you're brave enough ) by looking into the headlight with the lights on you can even see how the HID shield does not allow any light on the bottom portion of the reflector.
