The is300 after 3 months.

Ok, so I've had my car for about 3 months now. I'm done with cosmetics for the time being, and I've got performance parts on their way. So here's a little run through of the major things I've done:

Stock pic:

On the second day I had the car I painted the engine covers

A little while later + 150$ and I installed some LED bars

then I decided to sport the altezza emblem

Got a little bored so I made a little ring around the inner tails and got the JDM black chrome outer tails

Brake calipers were next

Then one of my local friends decided to part out his car, and I bought his front lip. My jdm sport grill came in not to much after, and installed them both.

And just last night I blackhoused my lights

So anyways, this is my car right after a small car wash this morning:

Please leave any comments, good or bad. My question is, the front lip. What do you think of it? Its currently painted the oem black. I was planning on painting it when I get side skirts and a rear. But half my friends tell me its ugly, another half tell me its beautiful, or it looks badass and such.

Is it so ugly that I need to change it before I get ridiculed and become a social outcast for driving my car, or can I keep it that way till I get some side skirts and a rear?

Thanks for reading.

i like the car, i was gonna get an IS but insurance was a pain so i got my AV6 the lip doesnt look like it fits right on the sides, i think it kinda looks funny? but thats just my opinion, i would look into rod millen motorsports, they make a sick front lip for your car...but its not cheap at all, very nice stuff....

Yeah, it is a weird lip, most likely because it is a type-r style knockoff. The lip is mounted correctly tho, and the two sides are spaced evenly (I was pretty anal about it when putting it on) But it was cheap so I got it. I probably will get a full 4 piece kit in the future, maybe use the stock bumper for daily driving. For now I'd rather focus on performance, so...should I leave the lip the way it is for the next few months?

Thanks! Althought I don't completely agree I perfectly understand your reason for not liking it.

So uh...whaddya think of the lip? Hideously ugly or "it can stay for now just paint it when u get side skirts and rear"

Eh... I dont totally agree.. I do agree if thats all you have on your car is some JDM badges.... RICE! Getting a G35 (Skyline) and placing GT-R badge... thats RICE too!

If you go all out and JDM everything and anything (dont forget the air freshener ) to your ride besides the fact of what hand the driver sits at... then by all means drop the badge on it. Id rather see more people riding around with the cars correct name then the Americanized name designated for the same car. Its like calling a guy thats named Sam - Fred everyday.

I'd paint the lip to match and get the full kit (me love kits ). I'd put the stock badges back on but that's just me. Other than that this car is nice!

How about: "Speed which brings pleasure to the race" plastered on the hood.
And dont' forget the Altezza decal in big lettering splashed across the entire side of the care.

It looks nice, but I was never a fan of the JDM 'nameplate conversion- if I had that car, I'd rip off both Altezza logos. At first I thought the lip was bare carbon fiber or something. I'd get it painted. But overall, very cool.

I had a friend who had an Altezza- this guy was from Cali and I would be scared ****less when I'd ride with him in the rain, or esp. the snow- we'd be fishtailing all over the place because he claimed, "not to know how to drive in bad weather." Crazy mofo...

Paint your lip. Your car looks cheap with it unpainted.

Well actually the lip is painted, but not color matched... But I didn't pay someone to paint it black, it came off a black car. I guess I will paint it once I get to doing some more body work. Thanks for the comments!

You need a type R sticker to go with the lip. I think that the lip needs to go, i mean its already bad enough they knock it off for all honda apps, but now for a toyota?!??!?!??! Thats just a NO!

very nICe honestly... i thought oh noezz another is300, but urs is unique.. i would get a 2.0 spring drop/struts, and all the sway bars and tie bars u can get and move on to engine... love the interior blue lighting..

are those whole new calipers or you just put a cover on top of those stock calipers or something? 1/2/4 piston?

That's a lot of lights in the interior.. isn't that illegal or don't cops harrass you for interior lighting?? I like your car nonetheless but that lip isn't setting off the IS, the Greddy, Visage, or L tuned kit is SEX!! I saw a white IS with FULL L tuned kit with L tuned emblems.. it was hot with the white and black scheme. Only thing is IS parts aren't cheap.. Good start and I like how you went all out in three months haha`
