After I get this installed over the next day or so I will be ready for some dyno tuning...

Next step is to hook this up as a DP system (was in car pre-turbo with a 75 shot)

Still messy, but functional!

Could use some cleaning up/coating, but going from scratch and completely DIY is impressive in itself. I've gone through beyond my share of zip ties between both cars.

Any track times yet? I'd hate to see all that work and no tested results.

lol, i'm having a difficult time making heads and tails of the parts.... but holy crap, what a cool mod. Good way to gain power and keep the cost down.

BTW, you drive with the slicks all the time? or just for track use?

Cool

Ditto for me in the next few weeks!
Just without the slick E-153 5 speed that'll handle the 400-475hp the engine can put out, and the countless supporting mods Sean has done. Stupid automatics.

For the record, Sean's pipes are ceramic coated. The original pictures are from around January.

If they had the current body style in 99 when i bought this car used, i would have gotten the accord probably. Neighbor has a silver one (his son's) and a silver MB clk 320. In the garage they both look identical, lol.

Me Too Me Too!

To answer the age old question... Yes, you CAN turbo a v6 for a running total of $442usd!

Excuse it. It hasn't been cleaned in forever, has wiring & tubing left out from water injection, and the extra fuel injector.

Cool

From two weeks ago. The car was so rich it couldn't idle cold. You can hear it cutting out! Some problems revving from blowing -> through an AFM. (Never tell me stuff isn't possible, just pisses me off, then I go do it.) and the turbo at that time didn't have oil lines running to it.

Exhaust sound - compressor side

Exhaust sound - Turbine side

This was just an exhaust leak / turbo will spin check - The engine revs fine now with some minor tuning, and the turbo is much smoother sounding, definately louder now that it can spool up fully also!

Boost registering *by* 2000rpm, the full 1 bar of boost before 3000rpm (around 2750-2800rpm). Dumb quick spooling turbo... I had problems enough getting traction after my major DIY rebuild on the $35 deltas. It's impossible now, and I haven't even got into street tuning yet!?!?!?

IHI RHB52 out of a thunderbird thundercoupe. Looks small, but that particular one flows roughly what a t3 60 trim will, but has 2/3 the spool time.

Why? There were two possibilities. Go a head and buy a huge ass turbo leak Sean, for whenever I rebuild my A/T.(not this year) or buy a smaller turbo, with insane responce, and have the powerband fall off so the stock transmission doesn't kill itself.

I chose the responce. Turbo's are too easy to swap.

Sean use to be into DSM's, he gave me a small intercooler off a 1g dsm for me to stuff behind one of the bumper side slits. Unfortunately... It wouldn't fit! Doesn't matter... I was running water injection for two months before starting the turbo project.

The obvious question is where is the turbo. It's under the car sitting on the end of my DIY y-pipe.
