Camry V6 manual - what could cause engine hesitation on throttle lift-off? And..

Hi all

I have a 2000 build V6 Camry manual which has just done about 82,000kms (approx 52,000 miles).

I've noticed that it's started hesitating when you lift-off the throttle. eg... when in 4th or 5th gear at speed, and just take your foot off the accelerator.

It used to be smooth, almost unnoticeable when you did that, but now it hesitates a bit, enough to be felt when driving...

Overall performance seems unchanged.

Does this sound electrical or fuel related?
Any ideas? I've checked for vacuum leaks around the throttle body.

No change in fuel type/supplier.

Someone suggested resetting the ECU. Can someone advise me how to do that?

Look forward to your help

many thanks in advance
