Toyota Camry, Now What?

In rollingstone, there is an ad for the camry saying it packs 268 HP. Wow, I'm wondering how Honda will respond. Do people fix up camrys? I can't see myself driving one, but it will be nice to see what honda does.

I saw one in my rear view mirror today, did a double take. With the lipkit on those things, I was tempted to pull into a toyota dealership to do a trade in my car. Coincidently my car's second gear slipped

i saw a white one around my house lowered with gold rims, my god was it beautiful.
the rear tails look very nice, and was what caught me on to the car.
however i doubt the 8th gen accord will be 300hp, that is the same range was the sti for a lot less money.
i think 270ish is more reasonable range

My car will be paid off in 2008, I think I'll wait until 2009 and let the bugs get fixed. If honda really wanted to kick toyota in the pants, they'd make the next accord RWD!!!!!!

I used to drive the Camry 4 Cylinder anad V6 before. I still find the Camry have a much smoother, stronger transmission and engine than the Accords but I don't like the image if I were to own one. I find Hondas to be more for younger drivers and Camry for older people. That's my opinion. I'm pretty impressed w/ this new Camry look. It's much mroe sporty than the current Accord.

I saw one on George Bush Tollway the other day. I have to say it looked pretty clean. It had the factory kit, I didn't what it was at first, until I spanked him. JK

That lipkit and headlights with new rims and a drop. OMG i saw one at my school today. This one 16 year old girl was driving it (yes she looked good as hell) but the car looked just as good. All black, gold/bronze rims, BIG calipers and rotors (i swear it's not OEM size), lipkit, foglights, at least a 2" drop, and 35% tint all around. That thing was the definition of a sexy economy car. Honda really needs to step it up.

I always loved Toyota Engineering as it's reliable and durable. Honda was like that...WTF happend!?!?! But yea, this is most likely my LAST honda i will ever own unless they improve the auto tranny. Other then that, Nissan power or Bimmer SMG tranny, here i come.

just wait for the 8th gen Accord, due out for MY2008. I'm predicting a 3.2L V6 with 280hp on regular gas.

that would be nice. I heard we're getting I-VTEC from the Inspire since they're getting a brand new type of engine.

Seriously man i would love to see a RWD Accord maybe even AWD, but it seems to me that everytime Honda gets infront of Toyota they manage to slap Honda back down with something better. For one example H.I.D, Camry beat the Accord to it, DAMN.
The next Accord generation better have H.I.D ATLEAST. Also, i read somewhere that despite it having more hosepower than the Accord it still get's better gas milage.
If that's true Toyota really has Honda by the balls!

i, too, am waiting for that shiet .. it'l be a nice ass car ... i'm guessing 270-290hp .. since v6 accords got a nice hp bump every new gen ... 170-200-240-(290?) haha see the patern? good ol' junior high math haha
