my mom has a 99 camry v6, she wanted to beef it up a little and have some good looking things onto the car, im going to get her clear corners for the front, maybe a AEM SR if they make one....what else can i do for not that expensive to make it look better?

unfortunately, the camry is not a very popular car to be "souped up", at least in the eyes of the aftermarket car product companies. AEM makes no type of intake for the camry. the only company that i know of that makes intakes for the camry is Injen and they only make a Short Ram one (the stock intake setup is technically short ram so a CAI would not have been practical to sell) for $200+ . i just said "screw this" and made my own custom intake based off of the stock setup (its fairly simple, ask for instructions if you need them).

i have clear corners on my camry. i got them off procarparts.com for like $19... sealed them with silicone and havent had any condensation problems since i got them in december 2002. however, they have a little bit of a fitment problem especially the way the corner signals are designed and how they clip on to this clamp in the back (the clear corners usually dont fit into this clamp without some force).

have fun.

3S-GTE? You could trade engines with her if you got that MR-2.

Isn't the 3S-GTE a 4 cylinder? The Camry V6 has the 1MZ-FE and I know it wouldn't fit into an MR2

Fits right in. Even takes up less room than the turbo 4.

The camry V6 with a blower would be an absolute monster in a car as light as the MR2. I don't think it would make much of a difference, but the v6 would definitely give you a thrill when it pounds your head into the back of the seat.

i know what you mean.

it would be the fact of rolling around town and people saying damn that doesnt sound like a 4 banger.......and i would get kudos for having a V6 in a MR2, it would still be a possibility if i could keep a manual tranny with the V6 motor, cause i could get the motor for cheap
