Talking [email protected] in the IS350 yesteday

Went and decided to give it another go at the drag stip this evening. My best run was a [email protected]
For comparison sake, I met a guy in an E46 M3 manual and his best time of the evening was a [email protected]! They def have more top end, but I'm guessing the torque of the IS350 is what gives the car identical 1/4 mile times. All of my runs were done with slightly less than 1/2 tank of gas, spare tire removed, Traction Control Disabled, no power braking and front tires set to 40psi. Here is the break down of my runs.

Track: Capital Raceway, Crofton MD
Elevation: 300ft

Run #1
5:56pm 87 degrees
rear tires set to 40psi. They heated up on the way to the track.
60' 2.10
13.631 @ 102.24

Run #2 against a 350 with a CAI and who knows what else
6:17pm 86 degrees
rear tires set to 31psi
60' 2.20
[email protected] 350Z ran a [email protected]

Run #3 agains some old hot rod that let up towards the end
6:32pm 85 degrees
rear tires set to 31psi
60' 2.11
13.694 @ 102.07. Hot rod ran a [email protected]

Run #4 against a modified 1.8t GTI
6:51pm 82 degrees
Rear tires set to 37psi
60' 2.323 I spun like mad
[email protected] The GTI ran a [email protected]

Run #5 against a late 80's V8 camaro (My Best Run)
7:37pm 80 degrees
Rear tires set to 29psi
60' 2.087
[email protected]. The Camaro ran a [email protected]

Run #6 (Last run of the day) against an 06 Civic Si
9:23pm 78 degrees
Rear tires set to 28psi
60' 2.032
[email protected] The Civic Si ran a [email protected]

AWESOME times. IS350 really deserves some respect.

I really want to see BMW's 335 and Lexus' IS350 going at it. that'll be one hell of a match.
