[email protected] (IS350) MIR World Cup Finals

Yesterday was a great day. Beautiful sunny weather and 58 degrees for a high. Tons of cars and beautiful girls in the school girl outfit contest. (See attached) I entered in the Stock Street class, which is 4 and 6 cyl all motor cars with no power adders or engine swaps, but were allowed weight reduction and slicks and bolt ons. I ended up being in the top 5 qualifiers with a total of 4 runs in for the day. Story below.

Run #1
10:55am 48 degrees
[email protected]
60' 2.246 (Thought i was going to get wheel spin so took it easy on the launch)

Run #2
2:19pm 58 degrees
Against a fast and heavily modded RSX with slicks, and tons of bolt ons and weight reduction. He ran a [email protected] After the run I went to check out his car and I asked him what mods he had and he said that he was about to ask me the same thing. You should have seen his jaw drop when I told him I was basically stock.
[email protected]
60' 2.039

Run #3
4:45pm 52 degrees
Up against a modded civic that broke off the line. I took the win with:
[email protected] My best mph run yet.

Run #4
6:53pm 48 degrees
This is where I finally got bumped out of the street stock class to a E46 M3. Funny thing is I got a better ET and trap speed than the M3. The run against the M3 he ran a [email protected] and I ran a [email protected] I was kinda mad that he won even though I beat him in ET and mph, but rules are rules and since he left the starting line 2/10's sooner and crossed sooner he took the technical win. E46 M3's beware.

Now the good part. A few school girl photos. :woohoo:

The car is basically stock. I replaced the intake pipe with a smoother one, but still use the factory airbox and airfilter. The rest of the car is bone stock including the Dunlop SP Maxx tires that I set to 28psi rear and 45 front for the runs.

Nope, just hit the gas. The track was prepped pretty darn well and grip was definitely there. In fact most of the pro-stock cars were doing wheelies off the starting line without wheelie bars!

Seems like Lexus should change their numbers. Currently, they have the IS350 at 0-60 in 5.3 and 1/4 mile in 14.2. Looks like it should be a lot less.

Dude I could not catch you racing I had friends at the show so I went back and forth from the show area to the racing. I seen your IS parked out where the racers wait next to the stands but I could not see you glad you had a good time the #'s look amazing. Also I know the owner of that Yellow T-type that thing is boosted and the kid did the JDM front end and RHD him self in his garage that thing runs I think 11's if not better now lol. That IS300 had a low 10sec run also I was shocked lol.

He said he didnt get a good shift from 2-3 as you can see in the vid also a slight hesitation and with those mods it should be in low 10's..The other car was a 500+hp IS300 practically whole crew is boosted.
