In the market for an sc300 or sc400

So ive decided to sell my honda and come on over to the toyota family...once i sell my accord i plan to get an sc300 or sc400. To the people who own one how do you like these cars? Any major problems I should look out for? More aftermarket parts available for the sc300 or sc400? Just want to find out some info on the owners before i jump into one....

Well...the SC400 is gunna be quicker stock, but the SC300 has a manual transmission version out there if you can find one. Also, the 300 is probably going to have more options out there as far as turbo setups. It uses the same motor as the n/a Supra's.

vtecricebox (Phil) has an sc. not sure weather if its 300 or 400, but he has a 2jz engine inside. He's told me there is a common problem with the instrument panel not lighting up or something.

the lights on the odometer and tach start burning out. My brother has a sc400 with 200k and its still a strong car.

they are both nice car. Check out clublexus.com and you will find a lot of info on the sc. If you are looking for something modifiable I would invest into an sc3 you can drop a 1jz into it for about 3-4gs with the work or a 2jz for about 6-8gs. It will give you a lot of options over the 400 even though you can do the same to the 400.
