D40x has 3fps vs 2.5fps, a lower base ISO (100 ISO vs. the D40's 200 ISO) and a slower flash sync (1/250th vs 1/500th). Everything else pretty much identical.

What? It'll do anything from RAW to Basic JPEG. I don't really understand lol.

do you have an email address? I can send you some full 10mp, straight off the camera samples. You can also check the DSLR thread. Lots of people have either the d40 or a d40x already posted samples.
