What's the most you would you pay for these DSLR packages and which would you pick???

Which would you rather offer a price to and for how much? There are local sales in my area for the following items:

Nikon D50 Body
Nikorr 55-200mm lens
1 Battery
Charger
Battery
Manuals
Softwares

OR

Nikon D50 Body
Nikorr 18-55mm lens
Nikon SB-600 Flash
Quantaray Electronic Flash
Gary Fong Lightsphere Diffuser
2 Batteries
UV Filter
Charger
Manuals
Software

This time I'n serious in getting an entry level DSLR. I've already decided to get a used Nikon D50. Thank you.

Thanks chief. That would me by top offer for that then. Of course I'll offer him less depending on how desperate he is to get rid of his stuff. He's upgrading to a D300 like everyone else.

If he's upgrading to a D300...I don't think he'll be in desperate need for money.

I found another person selling a D80. How much should I expect to pay for a body only or with the 18-55mm lens?

I'd say $500 or so, depending on how used it is. A new D40 is like less than that now, I think, since the D60 is out. D80s are old now, aren't they?

Is $700 a good price for a used Nikon D80 with 18-55mm and 24-80mm lenses? She had it for 1 year and she's a pro-semi-pro and I'm pretty sure she took great care of the camera.

I thought the D80 came out in 2006?

Yeah, no bag at all. $600 for a D60 with two lenses? Isn't that a bit of a lowball? By the way, she wouldn't budge on the price.

I'm wondering If I should just get the D80 and the 18-55mm lens for $650? Is $75 a justifiable price for the 55-200mm lens considering that a used unit sells for $110 at ebay? How often would I, as a newbie photographer would use it?

With the D80 with 18-55mm and 24-80mm lenses, she would sell it for $670 and that price is firm. Add the 55-200mm and a 2GB memory card and it jumps to $750.

By the way, body only for the D60 sells for $650 at Nikonians forum.

I dove in and got the Nikon D80. I ended up paying $800 because of all the damn paypal fees. I ended up with the:

Nikon D80
Nikorr 18-55mm lens
Nikorr 50-200mm lens
14mm lens Manual (don't really know how to use it)
2 x 2GB memory
Polarizing filter
Sandisk SD USB adapter

The learning curve is so steep... Everything seems so intimidating. Took my first photos at home with low incadescent light. Photos sucked balls until I changed white balance to incandescent light.

I don't shoot at auto mode, all at manual mode.

I feel over-whelmed though...

There's a lot to learn... manual sucks...

Pare, get Thom Hogan's d80 manual. You'll learn a lot from it.
