FS: Nikon D200 + Original Box/Accessories

For sale: Nikon D200 (click to read manufacturer's desc)
Condition: Excellent. Tested the shutter actuation count to be a very low 8,196. The sensor is clean of any dust or debris and the grips have minimal wear to them. The buttons are in very good shape, and everything is fully functional.
Serial #: 3051581
Reason for selling: I have had the camera for just a few months (I am the second owner), but am selling because I want the Nikon D700.

Asking Price (body only): $525 shipped *
Contents:
- Nikon D200 body
- Body cap
- LCD protector
- Original box
- Original D200 strap
- Original cables
- Nikon EN-EL3E battery
- All original accessories (even the hotshoe protector that everyone seems to lose )
- NO CF CARD INCLUDED

Why should you purchase? I am a trusted seller, and I am extremely careful with all my equipment. I baby everything! Also, if you're looking for a rugged, weather-sealed, highly rated, all-around workhorse, this camera fits the bill. It has 5fps continuous shooting and a 10.2mp CCD sensor and is rugged but still light enough to carry around all day.

don't have enough money currently for any of the full-frame cameras, but the D300 just sounds so much more appealing for me, especially if I start getting into doing weddings, the faster autofocus will def help. Thanks for the good wishes!

Wait for the D700 successor to come out, and then there will be a flood of D700's for sale that will force the prices lower and make them more affordable. $1500-1800 I bet, easily. Tons of people are saying they'll never upgrade and that they're "done" upgrading, but you know they will. Peer pressure and 'gotta have teh latest' syndrome.

Yeah for reals... I'm actually considering spending most of my tax refund on a D700, but I'm wondering, should I spend it on that or possibly get a D300 and a 17-35mm f/2.8 or get two professional Nikkor lenses, 17-35mm f/2.8 and 135mm DC? I basically can spend up to $2,500 (as long as I can sell a body or lens). I know I should be saving my tax refund money, but I prefer to invest in some better equipment.
