I use PS. Any attempt by competitors falls WAY short. There are options like Gimp for Mac and some free options, but they are sorry.

yeah, Adobe shop is the best. when i compare the two programs i have, Jasc PSP when saved decreases the image quality unlike Abobe where you can adjust it..

I use DxO for batch image processing which does 90% of what I need. If I need to do something beyond that, I use GIMPshop which is FREE and drives just like Photoshop does. For Photoshop plug-ins, I use Photoshop Elements. I used to have Paint Shop Pro for Windows and it was great, but I run Mac now. Oh yeah and I use iView Pro for image sorting, which got acquired by M$ and now they call it M$ Expression Media.

Paint Shop Pro is pretty good for a beginners program. They use that program back at my high school (where I first learned), but it was basics and I wanted something with more features.

Is DxO for Macs? I might want to use that for the batch images. seems helpful.

DxO works on both Windows and Mac, and it's da bomb.

I use Adobe Photoshop CS for my editing and the canon software for sorting and downloading.

I'm poor, and I don't like piracy, so I use an old Photoshop on my desktop computer (which is also pretty damn old). It's version six.
