Chevy Malibu Photoshoot

I was getting Jenny's oil changed at one of my local dealerships in preparation for the day of dyno tuning that will be done on her once all her parts come in. There was a Chevy Malibu there inside the showroom, so I took pictures since I had nothing else to do. I really like this car, and if I had to own a mid-sized family sedan, this would be my first pick.

Please forgive me for posting so many pictures lately... it's just that it's something new for me, and I'm trying to practice every chance I get.

I was wondering how to get rid of grain. Thanks for the info! "No Flash" is a bad habit I picked up from her.

Finally GM is improving on interior components. This is probably the better of the lower priced GM vehicles out there.

The pics look good. I don't notice any graining. Did you change them or edit them?

I like the car all around. And damn, look at that interior. From the pictures, it looks very nice. And I LOOOVE the piping on the leather.

I spy a red beauty next to the Malibu.

Yeah, that red thing... I was afraid to touch it. Plus, my skill wouldn't be able to do it justice.

No, I didn't edit them. But I do notice now that the ones where I did have the ISO set lower, or where I used flash, didn't have as much grainy noise.

I agree, the Malibu's interior is pretty nice. The only thing in it that looks cheap/out of place is that overhead console. It would be more at home in a mid 90's Tahoe than a 2008 Malibu, IMHO.

Looks pretty nice, although that rear-end is HIDEOUS. Yuck. You probably didn't need 1/125s shutter speeds on the noisy ones though. Those were the ones at 1600 iso. You probably could have gotten by just fine with as slow as 1/30s which would have been iso400.

I don't understand shutter speed. When I turn the dial to adjust it... it doesn't give me fraction values. I usually stay at 10 and 40. But when I turn the wheel all the way to the right, sometimes it even goes up to the thousands! Am I reading my camera's display wrong?
