I could use help. I just received Photoshop 6.0 w/ Image Ready 3.0. I tried to fool around with it but cant figure it out. Are there any online tutorials available to move me along? Or should I just go buy "The Idiots guide to Photoshop 6.0''? Ive never used a photoshop program, but ususally dont have any problems figuring programs out, however this one stumps me big time!

Or you could hold my hand, while I learn

I can't really get color-changing down. I tried using the tutorial from phothoshopjunkie.com but it didn't really work. Any tips?

ive had problems changing colors too, i've only had good results when i change to red but any other color just looks bad. how do you make the paint look real without making it look overdone with the contrast?

i realize this is going to sound harsh and lazy and sorta mean, but each person develops their own color changing techniques. each picture varies depending upon the method, the skill of the artist, and the original paint itself. sometimes goals are unrealistic, you just have to screw around and see. theres no set dictionary for color changes

werd.

But I suppose a Color Changing Tutorial is in order.
Someone post up a pic of a hard car for color changes and I'll give it a go.

frryy, i want to know how the hell you make your sig so damn nice! with that fading v6p.net logo and stuff, you've always got a nice sig! show us how to make those kind of effects with our sig, please, mine is too boring and its about time i change it now.

another thing about the color change tutorial, you should make a chop for the PSC#4 and change the color on that car, then submit an entry, i had a pretty hard time making it look realistic.

All I did was select the paint, and play with the color balance:

check www.photoshopjunkie.com They have a lot of tutorials on how to do various things to cars. Also, search for some other "photoshop tutorial" sites.

you should do a tutorial on matching the color when adding parts from other pics to your car. (example: adding a blue bumper to a blue 350z and then makeing them the same color)
