Ideas for Used Sub-$1000 Lenses

I am currently looking for a more professional portrait lens which will autofocus with my Nikon D90 (pretty much D, AF-S, or G). I want something that originally costs over $1,000 but one that I can find used for sub-$1,000.

My Current Lenses:
Nikon 35mm f/2.5 Series E
Nikon 100mm f/2.8 Series E
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D
Sigma 28mm f/1.8
Tokina 12-24mm f/4
Tamron 18-200 f/3.5-5.6 (which I never use)

Ideas for New Professional Portrait Lens:
Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8 AF-S
Nikkor 85mm f/1.4D
Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D
Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D
(Maybe) Nikkor 16mm f/2.8D wide-angle
(Maybe) Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8D wide-angle
(Maybe) Nikon 50mm f/1.2 AIS manual focus

Anyone have any other ideas or have any of these lenses and can give me a quick review?

Any help is greatly appreciated, and whenever I do purchase one, I will def take product pics/test pics.

The 28-70, 85/1.4, and 80-200 are all great and have their fans. Just depends on personal preference and style. I thought the 85/1.8 was awful for portraiture, because the bokeh would get all nasty. Same with the 50/1.2. Haven't owned it but I've seen plenty of nasty photos from it with hideous bokeh. Not all that sharp either, but gives hyper thin DOF.

I am thinking the 28-70 or the 85/1.4 would be my best bet at the moment, but I also found the Nikkor 35-70mm f/2.8 used for $500. Not sure if this is as good of a lens as the others I mentioned though, because I have not heard as much praise about it.

I don't have anything faster than f/1.8 right now, so the 85mm f/1.4 is probably atop my list of wants.

The 35-70 is nice, but has bad flaring issues.

ewww I hate flaring, and I think the 35-70 is prob not as sharp as the 28-70 that is so highly regarded. Took my 35mm f/2.5 E out today for a shoot, and it flares pretty badly when directly into the sun, but other than that, I love this lens.
