Strasse Forged Mercedes C300

Super clean C-class on some 20" Strasse CF S8s. This was my first time using my new lighting set-up during the middle of the day, shooting towards the sun - loving the results! Let me know what you guys think (of the car & the shots)

Looks good.

The owner should get a Euroteck Front and Rear lip to go along with the car as it seems like it's missing something else. Also a flat hood star would be nice too...

Yes!!! You've learned about crossing the sun with the bees. So much fun right? What triggers do you use? PWs? I just bought three more Cactus V4 receivers, because I noticed the Bees don't optically trigger each other in daylight. Do you have a B1600 as well? I'm thinking about getting one just to use as a main light in case the others fail to cooperate.

Still have the 3.0L V6. I had the C300 as a loaner while my CLK500 was in for service. I love the feel of the C300 but the middle console feel like it was not Mercedes standards.

Yeah I think the flat hood star would look really clean for sure.

Nah I just have the 2 B800s for now, wouldn't mind picking up a third! I'm using the V4s as well. I've got two triggers and three recievers so I use all three lights together.

Don't the V4s work surprisingly well? I'm thinking you should consider the AB1600 for even more power or the ABR800 for something diff. I have three bees, but two are B400s and one is the ABR800. You can see why I need more power like the B1600. The ABR800 has the same power as the B800, but it's a ring light and makes for some pretty unique stuff.

I also suggest getting some modifiers, octaboxes are my fave, and so is #3 in your pics!

Thanks man! I do have a 32" Westcott umbrella that I'm waiting for the right occasion to test out. Should be picking up a medium octabox pretty soon if the one for sale locally is still available. And yeah the V4s are awesome, they haven't given me any problems so I see no need to upgrade anytime soon. And thanks! A few people have told me #3 looks like it could be a Mercedes ad haha

Yeah most definitely, everything is so spot on!

Yeah, other photographers around here have tried to convince me to switch to Pocketwizards, because supposedly they trigger up to 400 yards away, but I figure how often am I going to need that? haha The Cactus V4s have never misfired for me either.

The only problem with umbrellas I have found is that when used outside, the wind can blow over your lights pretty easily unless you use some sort of counterweight. You'll experience this with any big modifier, but with umbrellas, it's worse. I prob should buy some counterweights or sandbags or something to counter my octaboxes/beauty dishes. The good thing about Bees though is that they're made from bulletproof material. I've had them fall a few times and nothing has broken. haha Also, probably harsh light is better for car photography anyway, because it doesn't diffuse/soften the picture. If you're going to use an umbrella for car photography though, I suggest a bigger one http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...te_Satin_.html. 30-40" is meant for 1-2 persons, 40-50" is meant for a group of people, and 60" would definitely work for a car.

that **** looks real nice. I would assume it would have bigger rotors and caliper??? Guess not. Rims are real nice but would look way better with a bigger brake kit though.
