Adorama is now a sponsor

Some of you might notice that Adorama is now a sponsor for this forum. If you decide to purchase any photographic or video equipment, please consider purchasing by clicking on the Adorama link.

V6P gets a small percentage from each purchase. Every little bit helps keep this website going since V6P depends entirely on our sponsors ads and now, Adorama.com.

Thank you.

Dizzy

I buy from Adorama on a monthly basis usually. haha I wish I would have read this before purchasing a couple things there this month. If we would have been sponsored way earlier, you guys would have gotten a percentage from my Nikkor 24-70. haha

Man it's too bad that Adorama doesn't carry camcorder stuff because I'm seriously considering dropping close to a grand on HD camcorder gear.

WTF?? Sweet!

I plugged in a model number into their search engine and got nothing, and didn't see a camcorder section either so figured they didn't carry the stuff. Gotta go down to the very bottom where it says VIDEO and it's all in there.

Now, what to buy?

Right now it's between the Panasonic TM-700K and the Sony HDR-CX550V. Just based on price I'll probably go with the Panasonic. Still going to need some better video editing software, and a Blu-Ray DVD burner, not to mention we're revamping our home theater system too.

So how does the referral work? We just start our session at Adorama by clicking the above link, right? When we're in checkout do we need to put anything in like "referred website" or is that all handled in the cookies by clicking the link above?

As far as I know, just click on the link above. It SHOULD have everything in the cookie.

Thanks!

Just ordered the Panasonic going through the V6P link, so you should see some $$ in your account.

From Ken Rockwell's site. Special deal on Adorama shipping.

Quote:
NEW: Free Upgrades to Adorama's standard shipping: anything over $100 ordered from Adorama before 6PM NYC time on Tuesday, December 21st will have its standard shipping upgraded for free as needed to get it to you before Christmas. For many items, standard shipping is free as well!
Adorama is especially great for those of us on the east coast down as far as the DC area. They're shipping has always been top notch and super fast! I just ordered the camcorder this morning and already got shipping notification. And because DC is in the 1-day delivery zone for ground shipping from NYC, I might just have it tomorrow in time for the weekend, and that's the "FREE" shipping.

24-70?? Going fool frame soon? That's a good length on DX too. I miss my Nikon 17-55/2.8, but love my Canon 24-105L a lot too.

I'm working on upgrading my glass for now since the D300 is still doing it's job. My only complaint is high iso noise, but that's because I've seen what an FX can do. If everything goes well with this photog business my friend and I are working on (side job) I'd like to get a D4/D5 (depending on when it all comes together, hah) when I've got the money.

Thought about getting a D700 but having that camera and not really nice glass isn't going to help me at all. The 24-70 is lightning quick on the AF, perfect for weddings and catching candid moments.
