7-Day Eastern Caribbean Cruise

My wife and I just returned from our First Anniversary trip, and I've got some pictures. In all, I snapped somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,100 pictures. After some deleting of duplicates and bad shots, I'm down to about 550. I'll throw some of my favorite ones up here. The itinerary went like this:
  • Day 1: Leave out of Miami, FL
  • Day 2: Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Carnival's private island)
  • Day 3: At Sea
  • Day 4: St. Thomas, USVI
  • Day 5: San Juan, Puerto Rico
  • Day 6: Grand Turk
  • Day 7: At Sea

All pictures shot with my Nikon D40, using the 18-55mm kit lens.

Leaving Miami, FL

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

St. Thomas, USVI

St. John National Park (part of St. Thomas)

San Juan, Puerto Rico
Castillo de San Cristóbal

Bacardi Distillery Tour

Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos
Margaritaville

Looks relaxing, how much did the 7 days of pleasure set you back?

We booked an interior room, but they upgraded us to ocean view upon check-in.

Nah, no tripod. I couldn't decide on which one I wanted.

Been there done that. Carnival Fantasy correct? Oh man, I love the Lido deck , constant eating LOL! Half moon cay was beautiful!! I love how the sand was so soft and fine, the transparency of the water was amazing as well. I remember that place in the margaritaville pic you took as well, I swam in the same pool. How did you like the shows on board? usually shows the night before debarkation are the best, they put on a "grande finale" kinda act.

This past August I went on my 3rd cruise aboard the Carnival Facination, it was shorter than the Fantasy's cruise at 5 days 4 nights, we stopped at Key West and Mexico, looked at some ancient Tulum sites, pretty fun overall.

I took pics on my cruises but none of them are better than yours. Nice pics!

Thanks! We were aboard the Carnival Triumph. I really did like the shows. They were all equally good I'd say. There was a show about the music and dance from around the world, a spectacular magic show, and a musical about song and dance from each decade in 20th century America.

Oh really? I was aboard the Triumph as well 3 years ago and they left from New York to go up north in Canada to Nova Scotia and PEI. Yeah I loved the shows as well. I didnt miss a single one.
