Honestly we need to Get rid of the Road Tales forum

I just saw a post by Kuya ( age 26) about racing against ricers and being immature

really i don't think this Subforum adds anything to V6p, it's a positive reinforcer (posting a Thread getting replies) to a really really really bad habit (street racing)

Agreed. We should remove the "Road Tales" section.

I'm guilty myself of a lil bit of Street Racing but....We should represent V6P.NET more positively.

i don't think it's a reinforcer... if they will race, they will race...

it's just another location for a flame fest

I think this is supposed to be moved to the suggestions section. I think...

Anyways, I do agree somewhat with you because it just seems like V6P endorses street racing, then again, I didn't know it was that big of a deal..

there's a difference between a random freeway pull, and a ricer move that Kuya pulls off.. intentional races are completely different than random freeway pulls.

I think its fine for the people who post the occasional freeway pull, or the random 1st thru 3rd(ish) gear run from a stop light. Kuya's post was way too much, which is why it was closed.

In all honesty, why do you guys (who hate the section so much) even spend your time reading it? If you have a problem with ANY activity in that section, why not just stay away?

when it comes down to it, this is a free speech forum.... kuya posted his story and got bashed for his actions.. and appeared to be genuinely sorry for it. maybe that thread will make him change his behavior on the road after seeing how people react to it on this forum. there's def a difference between a road tale of someone egging you on and then beating them, and going out LOOking for races.. but to censor or delete that section would bring up questions about other threads and sections. i think the majority of people on this site are responsible and mature enough to spot immature behaviour and put it down.

ahahhhhaha six speeder. that was a very valid point you just made about killin fat chicks. Its not like any of us are gonna read a "road tale" thread and get inspired by it and go race every car we see. If you never had any intentions of racing, then a forum isn't going to convince you to do it. stop crying.

I don't like street racing like kuya did, but god knows I've done 1-3 gear pulls. Like people have said, if you don't like it, don't post in the section. Or don't even read it, that way you don't feel inclined to post.

How do you compare Fat girls to road racing?

meh,

I guess in both situations you do put your life in danger, however road racing puts others lives in danger, so that is possibly why we still post in in this forum (even though we don't like it), as to warn others when they get out of hand, because deep down we do care because it is our familes on the road, so THAT is why we post here.

I believe by having this forum, it makes it "okay" to do in some minds, because v6p has created a dedicated forum for street racing stories.

Well, those people who believe it makes it "okay" because there is a sub-forum of a sub-forum where people talk about racing need to have their licenses revoked and given coloring books.

rather than make it appear "okay"... im sure the subforum was created to just keep threads about road racing out of the more focused sections... otherwise im sure the performance sections would just have those threads in them. it just comes down to common sense and maturity in the end

I think it is funny that you guys would want to get rid of the road tales forum. Personally you don't have to go in there and read the stories if they offend you. I would think it would be better to moderate some posts or post more strict rules. I like reading the racing stories. It gives us an idea on how our AV6's stack up against the rest. Stoping the Road Tales forum WILL NOT STOP STREET RACING! Acurazine has a road tales forum. So does Nissanclub and clubrsx. I vote to keep ROAD TALES!

Please, you mention club rsx's road racing forum, if this site had something similar I would end myself. That is the dumbest section in the world. Hey my I/E RSX hung with a 350Z. Hey, I have Hondata so i can run with a Cobra. Idiots...

Do you guys realize that some of the funniest and most entertaining threads come from that section? Why would you want to get rid of it? If someone is being a douche, flame them! That's what I do! Or if it really annoys you, just don't read it.

I used to read ClubRSX for a time. Man that is some serious crack they're smoking over there.

Of course their idiots over there. Thats what makes it so fun to read! Thank god our Road tales forum isn't like theirs. I still don't see any reason to ban the whole section. If you don't like it no one is forcing you to read it!
