V6P Mobile

I was just thinking with the increased amount of smart phones out there that can browse the web quicker than computers 5 years ago that it would be neat if you guys could make a mobile site for V6P. This is just a thought cause I have no idea what it takes to get these made available, but I have a blackberry and if any of you guys have ever been on crackberry.com you guys know what im talking about. Any feedback would be appreciated

Yeah, I don't really have any problems with my BB. I post quite frequently from it. I'll let the other guys know though.

Skyfire is nice, but a lot of unnecessary scroll work. Esp when I click the arrow next to the last post, expecting the page to scroll to the bottom for me, but I have to scroll to the bottom myself.

Even though most smartphones have mini browsers capable of viewing full blown webpages, the problem is that it's too graphics intensive. Sometimes V6P takes a while to load (especially if there are pictures posted) on my iPhone, and that's on 3G. If I had to load it up on EDGE, I'd pass out.

I've also thought about a minimal version of V6P that was meant for mobile browsers. If you guys haven't used it, check out Flickr's mobile site vs. their real one. The mobile one has all the functionality you need to view photos and find people/photos, and leaves out all the other stuff like account settings and stuff that you could just wait to do from a computer.

As it applies to us, if we did have a mobile site I think it should allow you to do things like posting, viewing, PM, view garages (not edit), and also it would have to shrink pictures or replace them with links. No need to edit account settings/profile/signatures as you could do that better from a computer anyway.

Yes. This would be awesome. My phone is extremely slow when it comes to pics.

So maybe my Sprint EVDO speeds + Opera Brower + VGA screen = faster loading pages on my phone?

+1 opera on omnia works good... opera seems to adjust the size of the content to fit within the screen display so that there isnt much scrolling required
