Honestly we need to Get rid of this forum

Can someone explain to me the point of someone not driving a V6 (or accord) posting stories about racing cars that are also not V6 or accords

Should I post a thread about how I ran past a kid on a bike ?

If your referring to Kuya then the reasoning is that he's a v6p o.g. that still has an av6 but loves posting stuff about the gto. Is it really that big of a deal?

I personally like this section because I like calling b.s. on most of this stuff. Its just cheap entertainment...

Why does this thread anger you? I find it humorous that you even made a ridiculous thread about that. And this section has been around for years, and never ceases not to entertain me in some way. If you dont like it, dont view it.

Road tales in any forum is fun to read. Easy to get into pointless arguements and like mentioned above, makes for some cheap entertainment .. I like hearing about other cars any ways...

why does everyone who defends a stupid thread always use the same argument

"hey we know its stupid, but shutup and GTFO "

This is pretty much confirming what I posted at the top of the thread.

It just doesn't make sense. This is (mostly) an accord forum.

Should I start posting medical question in the 6th generation accord forum ?

Maybe I should ask people about my Iphone problems in the performance section ?

Moderators, I have a solution. If you could make it so that "Road Tales" threads don't show up when I click "new posts" then I wouldn't accidentally click on these worthless threads anymore

dude... is your vagina bleeding. who cares. your comparisons are exaggerated. This gives you the edge the next time you see a similar run that was posted on here come up.

I dont think it matters IMO. my opinion is just as valid as yours but still...

This is V6P, but I don't think we should discriminate anybody out of here. That's just naughty..

First of all, Road Tales section is it's own section. You're not obigated to view it. Also in the "New Post" section, to the right of each thread list the section/category it falls under. You have a choice there to make whether you want to view or not.

I understand promoting street racing is a no no and agree on that stance. However you're not obligated to view it.

Again you're being biased saying "this is mostly an accord forum"
Yes accords dominate this forum, but this is a V6Performance forum.

This forum also have many varieties of categories and sections you an start a thread in. Theres a random chatter which can come out as a bunch of BS to some people, but that's your choice on whether you want to view or not.

Your comparison
"Should I start posting medical question in the 6th generation accord forum ? "
doesn't make any sense. 6th generation accord forum, or 6th generation accord section? That's two different things. Here on V6P we have a 6th generation accord section, not forum. We have moderators who judge based on experience which thread falls under what category, and they move them as needed.

"Maybe I should ask people about my Iphone problems in the performance section ?"

These road tales threads, are in road tales category which doesn't violate any wrong thread posting BS. So again your example would be overturned again simply cause it does not apply to this situation.

thats not a relevant analogy or argument in this case.. the road tales section is under general discussion.. far away from the concentrated performance or generation specific sections. road tales is relevant to "racing and tuning", so personally i dont see the problem here besides you wanting to remove an entire section from a forum that wasn't founded, set up, or run by you, just because you personally don't like it.

the "if you don't like it, dont view it" response is perfectly relevant and pretty much applies to anything on the internet. every forum/website is going to have SOMETHING that you don't like about it.

and on top of that... i think YOUR thread is in the wrong place and diluting the Road Tales section... this should be under "Feedback and Suggestions"

^LOL

Anyway, I'm just going to say the same thing I say about the Religon and Political sub-forum... It's real simple, just because you don't like it does not mean that others don't and that is should not exisit, if that was the case then there would be alot of things missing in life, if you don't like the content then don't click, this is a forum not a marksist country, you have it within your power to READ that a thread is apart of this sub forum and then decide not to click........

That has nothing to do with this. Road Tales is a section for ROAD TALES..

6th gen section is for 6th gen section.

Your iPhone problems can be in the technology corner, and med in random chatter. There's a section for everything, Kuyas threads are in the right place, unlike your analogy.

Did I say GTFO?? Just simply dont know what your argument is about. Seems this is a touchy subject for you....why it would be is beyond me.

to refer back to the OP

actually, this forum is mostly 7th gen dominated, so technically, you should STFU and GTFO because youre a 6th gen - as am i. if you look at the thread views/count, the 7th gen section and people viewing that section is constantly more than that of 6th gen-ners.

face it, our cars are getting older and if you want a forum to continue thriving, you gotta make it more contemporary. people who've moved on to better/newer cars can stick around and talk about various topics to different "forum buddy" friends that they've made...without having to feel like they need to own a certain car

now if your concern is that you cant find something because people are inappropriately posting sh*t in the wrong section, then that's another story.

but indeed if you want to ask medical questions, we do have a health section

if you want to ask something about your iphone, we do have a technology section.

go ahead - post away

i hope that answers your question - mods close this up - we dont need anymore meaningless bickering.

Yeah you're right. We should just scrap a whole section of a forum that has been around for years just because 1 member out of the 36,448 doesnt like it.

Which is the obvious and mature thing to do rather than attempt to cater to the minority.
