Thumbs down new layout problems

stop changing the forum...I have never been so confused in my life......

just leave it the way it was...

and if you insist on making gen specific forums, leave a general accord A/V/E section or at least a specific one for each gen. most of the AVE stuff is pretty general, and the people that post in there know alot about all kinds of cars not just their specific gen..

Relax, it's being worked on. We just had too many sub-forums and we are trying to get more organized. Once it is worked out AND people start posting in the right forums, it will be much better.

and I see nothign has changed, and I still think this is confusing, and the new forums are pointless, and dont make sense.....show mods? I mean come on, what is a show mod, is installing some new speakers a show mod? whatabout figuring out how to trouble shoot a bad switch? whatabout getting a new battery or alternator? or is that technical discussion? your stated goal was to reduce the # of forums, therefore making it easier to determine where to post, which in and of itself is laudable, but I still dont think you did it in a logical way?

wow such harsh words... 'ignorant'... its not that because we are 'ignorant' but as subscribers to this site we should be able to express our feelings on this change.... i personally dont like it... i mean i will still come v6p cause i have no choice........

why dont you make a poll on the site change and see how many people actually like the new site setup and you will see that a majority of the subscribers dont like the change....it wasnt a change for the members but a change for the mods....

who said I was referring to you or members when I said ignorant people cause alot of issues... self admittance?

me = member for 3 years
me= mod for 1.5 years

I have seen alot, and I made the decision to go for the change based on my view as a member, thats my job here, to run the site, and make sure its in kick ass condition

soooo, why did YOU get so offended? lol, i made a little statement about discriminating people, and it seems you may have thrown yourself in that category without thinking if you should be in there

dont get me wrong i love this site but there are members on the board that dont like the change.... i didnt get offended just expressing my feelings toward the change....i mean i was here ever since accordv6 was around (between the ages of 15-16,just never got a chance to register) but i was up with the forums and everything...and i loved all the changes that this site has went throught from the actuall site change accordv6 to V6P and from the V6P site design change those were kick ass changes but this last change wasnt that great.... thats my 2 cents no ones mad

its kool pfizzle... fo shizzle, I honestly loved the old setup too, but you gotta understand... the change was REALLY a NECESITY, the mods were moving around HUNDREDS, THOUSANDS of threads to get the site look all ship shape as it was back then. But ever since they change those numbers have gone down to around 100 or so,

BTW, in less than 3 week, we had 250 some odd new members join this site is growing

I want to reiterate my point....

your efforts were solid.....just need a little more insight from the perspective of the members, I like that you were trying to make it easier for people, and you did, but I just thought htat there could have been a little more input from the populous....this only affects me as far as my AVE forum since that was my specialty (for the most part), I was just tryign to express that this should have been handled differently...

Can someone give me the link to that news post about where each section has merged into?

Also, just to express my point, i think the new layout is taking more of my time through the searching and posting. I personally don't have a lot of time to spend at the computer, so back then, usually just click down on each section, like the ones i was interested in. Such as DIY, Exhaust, Intakes... etc

But now, everything is so general... harder for me to find specific information without using the search function and have 50off topics pop up. But i guess i'll get used to it... Just hoping that a few of the subsections will be brought back. It'll be nice.

Don't worry about it Mark, this thread is pretty old, check the date The guy was just upset about the layout of the forums. Thanks anyway though
