Major Forum Re-structuring

Some of you may have noticed the recent major restructuring of the car specific forums. This was not a sudden change made without months of discussion.

First let me tell you the reason behind the change. The site's mods were overwhelmed with the amount of threads they had to move to put them in their correct and respective forums. Many times mods have asked members to "please post in the correct forum." Some followed, and many continued to post everything in their gen specific general discussion forum.

So after lots of planning amongst themselves they decided to consolidate the forums and compact major topics into one forum.

They ended up with this design...

#th GEN MAIN DISCUSSION - Where any GD info can be discussed
- #th GEN PERFORMANCE DISCUSSION - This is the forum to discuss headers, intakes, exhausts, etc
- #th GEN SHOW MODS DISCUSSION - This is the forum to discuss all interior/exterior mods
- #th GEN TECHNICAL DISCUSSION - This is the forum to discuss DIY, how-to's, car maintenance, "under the hood" technical questions
- #the GEN FAQ - Basically where you can find all the frequently asked questions in the form of Stickies.

Now, some people have expressed their displeasure in the change, some have endorsed it, some are indifferent to the changes.

Regardless, it's all a Work in progess. Something well planned out may not work well, but we ask you please bear with us during the changes.

A few minutes ago I added a SUSPENSION DISC forum to each Gen specific Accord. This should give you guys another specialty forum.

I also moved the AUDIO - VIDEO - ELECTRONICS forum(http://www.v6performance.net/forums/...s=&forumid=151) to GENERAL DISCUSSION. You can find it right under V6P RACING & TUNING. The reason for this is A/V is general and can apply to all cars. I apologize for the loss of the threads from the forum. They're not gone, just buried in the other forums. The mods will move them back with your help. If you spot a thread that needs to be moved there please let a mod or senior mod know.

If you have any opinions and suggestions about this feel free to express them here.

Thanks,
Francis

Yes and let me emphasize that TECHINCAL DISCUSSION is where you will post about warped rotors, check engine lights, oil change problems, weird things with the cars, changing brake pads (if the FAQ was insufficient), etc.

I think this is a GREAT idea. It will make it a lot easier to run things. I just wish I had my Mod power back, So keep me in mind when granting back rights. I still want to help keep things running smoothly.

Moved into the 6th gen show mods section. No posts were deleted, they were just moved into new sections .

If you’re having some trouble finding something old, just search. You will find what your looking for with almost no difference in effort .
