do you have a list of people?
maybe you just see the same one or two people with the red "banned" below their names

you know what bro ... the world doesn't revolve around you so i dont think you have to know every single thing that's happening.

i know you didn't say anything like that, but i'm just trying to give you some pointers. sometimes ... things better left untold.

oh yeah ... you dont expect the mods/admins to make an announcement the 'this person' is banned because ...

if it doesn't affect you ... don't even worry about it.

just my opinion.

If we were to be carving notches in our gunstocks in a banned users forum it would look absurd. There are hundreds of people on our banned members list, and quite often the reasons have to do with personal matters that do not affect you--therefore being something you have no business knowing about. This is not a court, and the information is not public record.

Have a nice day.

a lot of the time noobs that join the forum say stupid sh!t cuz i guess it's allowed on other forums like the civic forums etc to talk sh!t on other members...they don't get that this forum is disciplined and that sh!t won't slide here.

i know this from experience because i created a thread and some noob started talking some irrational sh!t on me and my topic and got by the mods

They don't "just get banned," there are always reasons behind it.

It would not be fair to Viper to disclose any information to you and the fact that you are asking is making me very susp1cious. Is this simply a reflection of your maturity level? Or what information are you hoping to get? (Iíll leave that alone for now.) Why would you think that we would, could, or wanted to? Any decision to ban is thoroughly discussed between the moderators and administrators. We are not tyrants. Have we not kept V6p.net free of the nonsense that goes on in the other car forums? Trust in that and someday I hope you realize: you are not privy to all that goes on Ė and thatís a good thing.

okay it was my mistake to create a thread about banned individuals..I searched but it didn't come up..i'm sorry...but if you guys haven't read my reason for knowing why people are banned...its basically for buying/selling reasons...if it has nothing to do w/ that I don't care why they got banned...but i purchase from honda-tech, accordforums, and a lot of people are on those sites too...so i was just wondering...but if its not possible it'll just be a bigger risk. thanks guys for not roasting me in the thread i started!

^ Check the V6P Buyer/Seller Blacklist for those who have had problems on here. Also, each member has a trader rating similar to ebay, you can check the ratings for the guys that were banned.

In general though, I would be cautious buying from people that have been banned from this or other forums.

Whats wrong with curiosity? Do you have to have that tight of a grip on the site that no one can even ask about it? With all the thread closings/deletions, its not like we can just look it up all the time.

It's fine to ask about it, except use the existing thread, not make ANOTHER. And you know what, you'll get the same reply each time.

Thats fine, I hadnt mentioned the thread creating thing, though. But saying the bannings, not all of them, of course, have to do with "personal matters" kind of leads one to think the decision may not have been the fairest. I think thats what some people are getting at.

But it really doesn't matter if some people think it's the fairest. Do you think the person who got banned thought the decision was fair?

In the long run it doesn't matter if the general population of V6P thought the decision to ban was fair, it's in the best interest of the board--and often times there is privledged information we cannot divulge to the general public regarding certain cases. Thus the final point is that we aren't changing our minds and the original decision still stands.

It was actually more commonly translated to Hail (to) Victory, but that was in the 40s.

i like this v6p.net forum...it's 'professional, classy and civilized' ...lots of other car forums u get a lot of swearing, flame threads that go on and on! i think its good to censor out the swear words! with regards to banning, one can use proxies to get a different IP , but then u gotta change ur identity and take on another persona...

What I personally think it comes down to is respect for authority, rules, and regulations. The Hitler/Nazi reference is a little below the belt. Hitler would force you stand by his side, or you would die. No one here is forcing your to be a V6p member. Much like your drivers license, it's a privilege, not a right. If we close, lock, or delete threads it is to OUR discretion. If you think something was unfairly handled, CONVERSATE (not argue) via PMs with that particular moderator. Do not create another thread and cry about so called 'injustices' and then verbally bash said mod.

As to people being banned - Ask yourself, if you got banned for one reason or another, would you want an entire network of people dragging your name through the mud, publicly? I wouldn't. Us not discussing peoples problems is more to protect those who HAVE been banned and not ourselves. Especially because they cannot defend themselves.

We aren't the media.

Actually, I believe some bans are based more so on other underlying issues not discussed rather than just the reason made public.
