the ecu is under the dash right in the middle.Take the kick panel off on each side. There is 4x 10mm bolts. Unplug the connectors. It will come out.

Can I put a J35 in my 2004 Honda Accord
yes, direct swap would be a j35a6 from an 05-06 Honda Odyssey (EX,LX models only). It also comes in an 05 Honda Pilot. 250hp 255tq. Same bellhousing.

Also direct swap j32a3 from 04-06 Acura TL. 270hp 238tq. Same bellhousing. You can use your 6spd tranny or you can get the 04-06Acura tl tranny that comes with lsd. You can use same ecu.

Not direct swap. j37a1. Mounts up in same spots. Comes in 07-09 Acura MDX. 300hp 275tq. Different bellhousing. A few things will be need repin. You need an 8th gen 6spd tranny. You’ll have to swap tranny sensors from old 6spd. Use old engine harness. The 8th gen 6spd tranny is going for at least $3,500. J37a1 is going for around $1500. Over $5000. They are both hard to find. Tranny is just rare. Most of those mdx’s are still on the road today so the engine is also tough to find in a junk yard.

So with this swap will I need th 04-06 tl ecu or my 06 accord ecu will work?
Getting a j32a3 automatic engine will I need to change out the coolant passage? Mine old engine is a 6 spd.
