There are and will be no SE-R's in the 13's stock.
Nice car but it will need some mod's for those times.
As far as power goes, its not any faster than the standard 3.5 SE's and I think the best times for the SE's stock out there are around 14.2-14.3 with a 5 speed.

Meh, anything is possible with the right driver and track. I believe a 13.9 is VERY possible for a stock 6-speed SE-R since 14.1's are possible for a stock 3.5SE. Heck, last time I went out on the track w/ just an intake, I got a 14.2 w/ my AUTO. So, I'm expecting to hit atleast 14-flats w/ exhaust and low-13's w/ nitrous, and then even further down w/ drag radials on. :)

SER has 10 more hp then the regular 05 SE V6 model, but it also weights more. I read a comparison test somewhere and it showed that a SE model beat the SER in the 1/4 mile. I forgot exactly how much more the SER weights...I think around 100 pounds or more.

^Thats true.
There are fights constantly over on altimas.net on who is faster, a regular SE or SE-R.
They just dont understand that its basically the same car.
And 2002Altimate, those 13's shouldnt be a problem with some spray.

What load of BS, there is no way SER is heavier than SE.... dudes go check out the car - hood, trunk and tons of other parts are aluminum to save the weight! I took that car on a race track - not 1/4 mile, but actual race track. And guess what - no SE would even come close to there but and M3 was a goner, the guy came out after the race and was like "Wow man what da hell is your car???".

Now I have not seen it but I was told that SER kicked 350Z on a 1/4 mile and I believe it because 350Z is heavy as hell (I drove one not so long ago).

LSD + RWD on SER would make it perfect... but oh well for the price we pay I say it is a perfect car (not your lousy ugly Accord).

That kind of trash talking doesn't fly on our message board. And to bring you back down to reality. The Altima SE-R is not the be all, end all (“perfect”) car you think it is.

Welcome!

I don't own an Altima but I can provide some help to you. According to NissanUSA.com, the $1,600 NISMO camshafts the dealership wants to install on your car are for the 350z. I know they use the same series V6 engine (VQ35DE) but there must be a reason the website doesn't show this as product for the Altima. The website also warns that R-tune parts are not intended for street legal vehicles and that these parts can also void your warranty.
